"Why do you have the same mark as me?"

I froze in my place as my face matched his; how could I have been this careless. Quickly I undid my hair, letting it fall down my back, covering the mark once more. Taking a deep breath, "I don't know what you're talking about." I spoke calmly as I gripped the door tightly; my body twitched at the pain from the mark. "Now, if you don't mind Yuji, I need to get dressed" however, just as I was closing the door, his foot stopped it from closing fully.

Yuji pushed open the door, causing me to step back; there was nothing I could do. He had seen it, and no matter how much I tried to seem innocent, he wasn't going to fall for it. Before he came any further into the room, he closed the door behind him and began his way to me.

"(Y/N) turn around," he asked, but it sounded more like he commanded it; I didn't say anything as I walked back until I reached my bed. Holding my balance so I wouldn't fall on my bed. "I need to know", he pleaded with me; I knew I needed to say something, but what could I say. I've known we were soulmates since he first ate the finger.

"I don't know about this soulmate stuff, but Gojo told me that once I found her. I can't let her go," Yuji paused, taking in a deep breath. "Ever since I met you, I knew there was something special between us. And I won't let you get away from me." He spoke with determination, and I just knew Gojo told him to say that.

Feeling sweat form on my forehead as I stared at his shining eyes, "Yuji, that's not you talking. It's the soulmate bond. Now let's forget about it and get ready for the mission," I said through gritted teeth; the pain was slowly increasing. Trying to walk around him to get to my uniform, but as I was about to pass him, my legs gave in.

Yuji immediately caught me in his arms, "look, what's happening to you because you're rejecting it. Listen (Y/N) even when I didn't eat the finger, I thought you were the most beautiful girl I had ever since, so please." I could see tears on the edge of his eyes; why was it affecting him so much? We barely knew each other.

Pushing him away from me, causing me to fall to the ground. I created some distance between us, "we just met a couple days ago; how can you even like me?" I shouted at him as he gave me a small smile. Yuji walked towards me, causing me to crawl back, and ended up hitting my head on the wall. "Stay away from me!" I screamed at him, but he ignored me and continued his advancements.

He kneeled down to me and grabbed ahold of my hands; I struggled to get free as his strength was way above mine. "(Y/N); you can like someone very quickly even from the first moment you see them; however, love takes time and patience. Why won't you even give me a chance?" His smile dropped as his grip on me loose that I was about to take my hands away.

"Am I not good enough for you? Am I ugly? Am I-" I couldn't take it anymore; I wasn't going to listen to him say these things. I pushed Yuji backwards, so his back was on the floor, and I was on top with my arms on either side of his head. "Stop saying those things! That's not true! Yuji, you are good enough! Don't ever say that again," I shout at him in frustration, causing him to go quiet.

"Then why did you hide it from me" he mumbled to me as we both stayed focused on the other. Our eyes never leave. I let out a sigh before falling off him and laying down next to him on the hard floor. "When I was young, I never really got a say in how my life went. My family had planned it out ever since I was born. I just wanted to pick something for myself," I spoke softly as tears swelled up in my eyes; I knew I was mistreating Yuji.

"I'm sorry you don't deserve this," I said as I covered my hand with the back of my hand. I could hear Yuji standing up, and I could only guess that he would leave after all this but instead, my hand was ripped from my face. My eyes met with his, and that bright smile of his returned.

I wish for him to smile like that always.

"Then I'll make you pick me" I lifted my eyebrow at him before he began panicking "not like that, I didn't mean by force. Just that I would spend more time with you, and then you'll be able to pick me yourself."

He helped me up from the floor as I let a small smile escape, "okay, I won't reject it anymore. Yuji, let's see if I'll fall for you."

Even though I had made him believe I would try it was too late. I knew I had already fallen too far. I liked Yuji.
