AR Penthouse
While Arnav was making Aashi and Avish sleep after playing games with them till late night, Khushi was chatting with NK through video call settled on the couch of the living room.
"I already knew Akash can go to any extent to get what he wants," NK sighed hearing from her what happened in her life after he left, "You also told me that Aashi thinks Akash and Sheetal are friends, right?"
"Yup," Khushi nodded.
"So you do one thing.. If you want to know about Sheetal, then you should go to AR and talk with Manju. She works in the canteen, but she's very much aware of what happens around her," NK said.
"You're right NK," Khushi said, "I will do it tomorrow only."
"All the best then.. I'm sure this time you'll expose Akash and Payal's truth to our family and end this matter once and for all," NK smiled genuinely.
Khushi blinked her eyes with a fond smile, "Thank you so much NK.. for everything you did for me.. and for still being here for me when I need a friend by my side."
"I'm always here Khushi.. whenever you need to me.. just give me a call," NK said, his eyes showed how much he meant those words.
"NK you idiot.. What are you doing here?" Khushi suddenly shifted her attention to the girl standing behind NK with a frown adorning her pretty face.
Khushi watched them talking on the screen confused. NK looked back at her when the girl left his room, "Sorry Khushi.. I'll have to go now."
"Sure," Khushi nodded still confused.
Reading her face expressions, NK explained, "She's a family friend.. Neha."
Khushi smile softly, "Okay.. Bye bye. Take care!"
"Bye Khushi.. You too!" NK said hurriedly as he hang up the call.
Khushi was lost in her thoughts when Arnav startled her, as he sat beside her on the couch.
"Aashi and Avish already slept?" she whispered.
Arnav nodded, "What are you thinking?"
"About NK.. you know NK loved me truly but I never reciprocated his love for me because my heart always belonged to you. If NK falls deeply in love with someone else again and of course, this time the girl also loves him back.. then I'll be the most happiest person in this world. He's such a good soul.. he deserves only happiness in his life," Khushi said, her eyes moist, "He did so much for me.. I just want him to be happy wherever he is."
"He will definitely find his happiness too Khushi," Arnav patted her soft cheek, as he blinked his eyes assuring her.
Khushi rested her head on his chest, closing her eyes, finding her peace in his heartbeats.
Arnav wrapped his arm around her waist from the back, as he rested his chin on the top of her head.
They stayed in the same position for a long time in silence letting their hearts do the talking.
"I should go now. It's getting late," Arnav finally broke the silence, moving a little from their position, startling Khushi.
She looked up at him for a while as she registered his words in her mind and when realization dawned upon her, she withdrew herself from their hug unwillingly, "Okay.. Come back soon!"
"Yeah.. I'll be back before Avish and Aashi wake up so that they think I was here only with them," Arnav said as he got up from the couch, taking the car keys from the near table.
