Three days after the odd encounter with the god of fire, everything seemed rather chill with Taehyung. You spent your time reading inside his library, played with Tan and the other pixies, went outside to observe the winter in Irnie and sometimes have tea with the nature god.

But somehow, lately, Taehyung has been avoiding you. At first you didn't pay much attention to it because he's a busy guy, but you noticed that he will turn around immediately if you both see each other, his short answers when you visit him at his office caused you to stop visiting thinking you're just disturbing his work. It hurts that he's ignoring you but you also didn't say anything because you both don't have that type of relationship.

'He's just taking care of you Yejin. The guy saved you so you shouldn't have weird thoughts!'

You kept telling this to yourself as you let out another sigh, Tan squeaked a bit as he flew towards you and tugged on your index finger. "What is it Tannie?" humming at the little brown pixie who just looked at you. You still couldn't understand him which is why you two always end up playing charades as communication.

Tan continued on squeaking and pointing outside of your bedroom window, "You want to take a walk outside?" you asked and the little creature nodded. Grabbing the coat and scarf the two of you left the tree house and went out to the woods. It's still day so walking around for a bit won't hurt, you thought to yourself.

The snow covering the ground as you both walked around the forest really reminded you that you're currently in another world. Tan flew around you playfully tugging on your hair while you tried to catch him.

"Come back here you little devil!"

*Squeaking noise intensifies*

You eventually gave up since you don't have that much of a stamina, leaning forward with both hands on your knees you tried to catch your breath. "You win." you said to the pixie who just huffed proudly. Walking ahead you arrived by the waterfall that Taehyung found you, it looked even more beautiful with the white snow covering the rocks around the waterfall.

"If only I can take a picture." you mumbled to yourself while taking a seat on a rock beside the water, bringing your knees closer to your chest. Tan landed on scarf, getting himself cozy below your chin with his wings tickling them.

"Taehyung has been avoiding me on purpose hasn't he?"

Your eyes just stared at the crystal clear cold water in front of you, it's rare to see such clean waters especially since you're from the human modern world. You watched the fishes swimming around in the cold water, your reflection on the clear water was clear.

"Hmm, my roots grew." you mumbled, fingers combing through your red hair that you've dyed out of curiosity. Well that was your excuse but you just dyed it to spite your parents but they barely batted their eyelash at it so you just left it like that.

'I should explore more. It's rare for me to get out of that tree house.'

'I have Tan anyway, we'll be fine.'

That was your first mistake.

The two of you ventured deeper inside the forest, climbing over huge rocks and walking through the thick blanket of snow covering the forest floor. "What time is it now anyway?" you mumbled already missing technology. The sun is still out but the weather got even colder  as time passes by, even Tan decided to snuggle up inside your scarf shivering.
