Did you know that horses are the best friends of souls? I didn't, but some page on the Internet showed me a completely new world made of trust, respect and strength. The best way to ride a horse is to make them trust you, as they will always trust their human. It sounded better than dogs! And I had a horse to take care of so I decided to do some research and focus on some activities to just forget about what happened with Benji.
I woke up early that morning and I had just a lemon juice for breakfast, Sir Thomas was worried about me not eating enough, but he didn't know that I was used to not eat for days. I knew it wasn't a good habit, but I was too excited to think about food, so that's why I run out to the stable as soon as I left my glass in the kitchen, before my mother and Blake could notice.
I pushed the wood door and I walked to the stable box where my horse Cécil was waiting to be fed up - "Good Morning Cécil!" - I thought the best way to be trusted by my horse was talking to her as if she was a human being! So I decided to treat her as my friend, even if I never had one. The second thing that looked good to me was bringing some food: Sir Thomas gave me carrots and some Mais beans, he knew what this big girl liked to eat for breakfast! - "Look what I have for you bebesita"- "Good morning Sir Garay" -

I jumped of fear because I didn't expect to find someone in the stable so early in the morning, but this young boy walked towards me to shake my hand, I never saw him before. "Uhm.. Good morning, I'm Jo-" - "I know who you are, Sir, my name is Diego and I take care of these beautiful creatures for Mr. Krol" - "Oh! Sure.. How stupid! Of course they had someone to take care of them"
I was disappointed because I woke up early and I was ready to clean the beautiful Cécil and give her food, but of course how could I not have imagined that the family Krol had someone to do the job for them.
"You look disappointed" - he said, walking closer to me smiling as a ray of sun, in the moment I could look better at his hazel eyes, curly brown hair, he was taller than me and his smile was... Beautiful. I smiled back cause I thought that we were gonna spend a lot of time together since I wanted to take care of my horse and he had to be there for the others 4: "Not disappointed but.. I want to take care of Cécil by myself even if I never had a horse before so.. Maybe you can help me?" I said looking at him from the bottom to the top, being honest he was very beautiful, he looked like the typical Catalan boy but I wasn't that brave to ask.
Before he could answer my question, Benjamin walked in and saw us talking, looking bad at me he walked closer : "Good morning Diego, can I have my key?" - "Good morning Sir Benjamin, here for you" he did what was asked without even let two-second pass, I couldn't take my eyes of the boy who broke my heart and still was able to make me tremble just standing by my side.
Benji noticed and smiled back at my angry face, I knew he was going to tease me again, I could feel it - "I heard that my father gave you a horse, at least you have something to ride now" - he laughed but he wasn't amused at all, his voice trembled as if he was mad and wanted to show off like he didn't care, I knew that kind of laugh. I didn't reply, I was silent holding my tears looking down to the floor, as I heard his steps walking to the closed box where his precious Mustang was waiting for him, I looked up at him and I didn't notice that Diego had his eyes stuck on me.
