The Unwanted Slytherin Chapter 7: Albus' plan

After the feast Rufus (our prefect) led us back to the common room. "Please remember to be in my by 10pm ok?" Rufus said loudly. It was at the time 8:15 so we had a while. "Hey Sophie what are you doing for Christmas. Like where are you staying?" Albus asked me abruptly. "Oh urm I am probably just going to stay at Hogwarts. Phoebe has written me back a few times saying how she wants me too come back but all the nurses and the matron are really annoyed that Hogwarts was real and doesn't want me back at the orphanage. So the only place to stay is Hogwarts." I replied in a dulled tone because I already knew Albus would be going home for Christmas. "Well how about you stay with me and my family?" He said quickly as though he had been anticipating saying this for weeks. I blinked "But your family probably won't want be there and besides Rose will be there at some point wont she?" He laughed "Not at all. My father enjoys the idea of me having a friend. I have told him that you are a Dumbledore and he was very excited. They were very close you know. And Rose knowing how mad my Aunt and Uncle are is making the smart decision to stay at Hogwarts with her friends. You will be completely away from her." he added very excitedly. "Well if you parents would allow it that would be wonderful." I smiled. "Well really I would have to ask Gran as well. We always stay there for Christmas for about a week. My dads parents are dead and Uncle Ron, Aunt Hemione and my father have been best friends since there first year. The amount of times my dad stayed at my Gran and Grandpa's house I incredible. They are all his family. We always stay there also seeing as it my Mum's family we have too. I love it there. They haven't got much money but there house is perfect all the same. They have a huge family. It always gets a bit crowded but that's how its always been." he spoke softly as he had forgot he was there. "That sounds how a family should be. Ok I will then. Just tell me what your family says. I will go to bed now, I am really tired. Good night." I added abruptly yawning slightly. "Oh ok I will. Good night Sophie." he replied in a tired voice. I nodded and walked upstairs.

"Oi Sophie wake up! Its snowing!!" it was Euna. I rubbed my eyes. "How do you know we are under the water?" I asked "Well our prefect. What ever his name is, well he went out on a patrol of the grounds at 5 and it started to snow! Its really heavy! Come on get dressed!" He yelled in my ear excitedly. "Ok, ok. Also his name is Rufus.. is Albus up yet?" I asked because if he went out with out me a would chuck the biggest snow ball at him possible. "I don't know. Come on get dressed!" she said impatiently. I laughed and got changed. I wore my robes, thick tights, coat, scarf, gloves and hat. All in silver and green. I ran out of the dorm room with Euna and was glad to see Albus at the bottom of the stairs. He was beaming. "My Dad and my Gran said it is ok Soph you can come." he said with much excitement. "Stay where?" Euna asked with a scowl on her face but seemed quite intrigued. "Oh I am going to stay with Albus and his family over Christmas." I replied also beaming with happiness. "Oh ok then." she said scowling even more and stormed off. "What did I do? Why is she so mad with me!?" I asked Albus annoyed at the recent events. "Ugh I don't know come on lets go." He answered even more annoyed sounding and dragged me along by the arm.

Outside we saw Hagrid who needed to talk to professor Slughorn because Fang was ill and he needed a healing potion. "I am sure Fang will be fine Hagrid. Slughorn is one of the best potion makers of this age." I encouraged him and smiled. I nodded and ran inside. As I was talking to Hagrid I didn't notice that Albus had snuck away and the next thing I knew I had a face full of snow and I was mad. I grabbed the biggest bit of snow I could find and pelted it at Albus' face. I laughed as it hit him. I saw his face, screamed and ran down the hill to the edge of the forbidden forest. I heard a rustle from the bushes and bolted back to the courtyard. On the way up I saw a scarlet bird flying over head and then circled back to land on my shoulder. I stroked it gently and it chirped loudly. As I stroked it I noticed the feathers where very hot. Heat ran through my icy fingers. I walked up the hill the bird still on my shoulder chirping happily. "Raven will get very jealous of you. Try to be nice to her ok?" I told the scarlet bird laughing. When I got back up to the courtyard Albus looked at me to the bird multiple times until saying "Blimey! How did you get a Phoenix?" he asked me in awe. "I don't know. It just came to me." I replied in just as much excitement as him. "Darini? Could you come with me please? Bring the bird." I walked off. I wondered why she looked... sort of sad?
