As we were walking up the long meandering stair cases the phoenix was chirping happily. We got to a large griffin inside an opening of a door and large platform with 1 step. "Willow tree" McGonagall said loudly and stepped onto the platform "Come up Darini" she said urgently and I stood on the platform with her. Multiple stairs rose from the floor and I started to walk up them, so did McGonagall. After a few seconds the stairs stopped and we ended in front of a mahogany wooden door. McGonagall opened the door and walked inside, I followed. As I walked in sun shone through the windows, the caldrons glistened. On one wall 3 owls sat on a perches and on the other portraits of sleeping witches and wizards all jumbled around. Names under each. Dilys Derwent, Phineas Nigellus Black, Armando Dippet, Severus Snape and Albus Dumbledore. The portrait of Albus Dumbledore showed a fairly old man with silver length waist hair and beard, murky green robes and sitting peacefully on a golden chair. "Albus! Wake up. I have somebody you may want to meet." McGonagall said looking at the portrait of Albus Dumbledore and then back to me smiling. The portrait stirred and suddenly his light blue eyes met mine. It felt like there was a pit in my stomach but I didn't know why it was there. "Darini, has found Fawkes Albus." McGonagall said face broken in a smile. His eyes sparked with glee. "And what where you doing when Fawkes came to you?" he spoke in a slight whisper, eyes wide. "Urm, I was walking back up to the courtyard because I was running away from Albus because he was trying to hit me with a snow ball" I laughed at the last bit, Dumbledore was looking puzzled. "And Miss Darini, who are your parents?" he spoke in a soft tone filled with intrigued suspense. "Well my father was Simon Darini and my mother was Olivia Dumbledore. When my father found out he was having a child he was overjoyed but... he died a month before I was born. My mother died after giving birth. Too week to go on... my Grandfather was by her side but refused to take me home as he didn't want me growing up with the weight of the Dumbledore name. He told the orphanage, my grandfather that is.." my eyes were swelling with tears, my shoulders hunched over but I kept a straight face and carried on "The orphanage told me this 2 years ago. I didn't know that Dumbledore was a well known name and so I spent months on end trying to look it up, but when I couldn't find the name anywhere I gave up and resulted to the thought he didn't want me and that was just an excuse. But once everybody started treating me differently, like I had done something incredible once I found out who I was I thought maybe my Grandfather was trying to help me." by the time I had finished both McGonagall and Dumbledore were looking at me with intensity mixed with sympathy. And then Dumbledore started to talk. I realised that the whole portrait wall's eyes were on me "Well that sounds like Aberforth, he was always the more humble brother then I. But as you are the last living Dumbledore... well apart from your uncle but he lives in Japan and I don't really think Fawkes would want to be too far away from here. He lived a good large portion of his life here. I think now... it's your responsibility to take care of Fawkes, if you want to of course." he said beaming through out, identical eyes sparkling. Fawkes' head rubbed against my neck in an affectionate way. "Ok yes! Of course I will take care of him!" I smiled. I had almost forgot that McGonagall was here. "Well then Darini, run along." she said, and I run off.
