The unwanted Slytherin chapter five: Rose's rebelion

"I'm Kitty" the pink haired girl said as I tied my letter to Raven's leg (My black owl.) "This is Annabelle," she added pointing at the round faced girl "that's Euna," She said pointing at the girl with brown pigtails "And she... well she's Rose." she added quickly glancing over at the blond girl who was admiring herself in the mirror. I checked my watch and it was 7:25. "Oh so sorry I have to go my friend is waiting for me, we are going to walk to class together, bye!" I said as I rushed out the door.

I ran down the stairs and Albus was sitting there alone. "Come on lets go, our first lesson is charms. Oh no I left my wand in my dorm! Let me go get it!" I ran upstairs grabbed my wand ,that was 12 inches, hawthorn and phoenix feather core, and ran down stairs. "Come on!" Albus said eagerly and we ran to the tallest tower of the caste and entered through the mahogany door. "Hello! New students I suppose. Oh Albus how lovely to see you! And you brought a friend I see how exciting! Go and sit down somewhere it doesn't really matter. We will be learning something quite incredible today."

I was getting my ink, quill, wand and spell book out of my bag when somebody sat next to me. I looked up and it was.. ROSE? "Urm why are you here?" I asked her with suspicion "I wanted to say sorry. By the way I heard we are staying in these seats for the rest of the term, I heard we are doing fire lighting charm in a few weeks! Isn't that exciting." she said with a wide smile. I nodded and nudged Albus "What is she doing here! Did she say something about fire!" he said under his breath to me. I nodded again. Oh and there is something I need to tell you.." I told him about what the girls had said to me. "Omg we are named after the same people!" he said excitedly. "What's that!?" Rose asked "Sophie's grandfather is Abaforth Dumbledore who is Albus Dumbledore's brother! Which mean she is related to the person I am named after and her middle name is Dumbledore!" Albus said to Rose boastfully. "Oh right..." she said irritated.

After lessons we went down to dinner. We sat down and I saw Rose and some other Gryffindor girls were looking at the Slytherin table laughing as I was eating my dumplings and soup. I tried to ignore them. I finished and took my bag. I walked briskly tot he common room still ignoring the Gryffindor girls. I wiped my eyes trying not to think about it. I was at the portrait hole when I heard a yell "Oi! Darini!!! Albus isn't here to stick up for you now is he!" I turned round. It was Rose. "Go away Rose, I don't have time for you at the moment, well I mean I never have time for you spiteful little slug!" I yelled. "Peniople" I said and the entrance opened "Now if you don't I'm going to do my homework." and I entered the hole and it closed behind me.

I was doing potions homework when Albus came in "Why was Rose following you out of the great hall and then came back crying?" he asked in a humorous tone. "She was tormenting me so I stuck up for myself by calling her a spiteful little slug." I said in a dull tone as I was still focusing on lionfish scales. He laughed and then said "She told Professor Longbottom and he said he would talk to you so watch out in herbology tomorrow." I nodded. "I need to go to bed now goodnight!" I said to him while packing my things away. I walked up stairs, put my things in a draw, got in my pyjamas and fell asleep instantly
