Home. Without Him.

The drive to my house was slow and boring. There was no Niall laughing about an old dad joke, or Louis picking fights with you over the smallest things. There was also no Liam who tried his hardest to get you two to compromise, and no Zayn to talk to about your sad and cold past. Then, there was no Harry. No compliments on your messy hair, or how you make his day so much better. I sighed and turned to the window. The familiar streets made it seem like it was all a dream. How could someone like Harry like me? I was a nobody. I felt the urge to take out my phone to check my twitter. But harry told me 3 things never to do. 1) Go on any social media. 2) Move on with life with another guy. 3) Ever, Ever stop loving him. Because he was going to be there for me anytime I needed him.

I knocked on the door to my house. I heard running and the door whipped open to reveal a mom happy to see her daughter again. "Hey baby!"She pulled you into a big hug. "Hey mom Harry got you something." I pulled out the envelope from Christmas and gave it to her. She opened it up and almost cried. "Honey, how much is in here?" I smiled down at the ring on my finger that used to belong to Harry. "Over 10,000." I whispered. She looked shocked as if she never thought she would hold that in her hand. I smiled and she said, "Nice ring." I blushed and looked up at her bright brown eyes. "How did you know?" I asked. "Really? That ring on your finger is going viral on social media." She led me to my room. Small but bright and pretty. I placed my stuff on my twin sized bed. As I took off my shoes I turned to my mom who looked at me like I had 3 heads.

"What? Is there something on my face?" My hand flew to my face to wipe off anything. "No, it's just your shoes. Their GUCCI!" She ran over and picked them up. "Who?" "Louis, it was for Christmas. Oh! Mom I got a really nice car for Christmas too!" I said grabbing her arms. We squealed in unison. "You can take it to work instead of that old beat up blue car." She smiled and started to cry. "Mom. It's okay." I said trying to comfort her. "How is Harry?" She said, trying to change the subject. "Good. He's really nice and sweet." I said, smiling at the thought of Harry and I. "I like the way you look when you talk about him." She said, pinching my rosy cheeks.

I giggled and shrugged my shoulders. "I used to like a boy, the way you like Harry." She paused at the sight of my disgusted features. "Oh, gosh. It was not your dad." I was relieved. "His name was Alex." She looked at the ceiling and sighed. "We used to date but he went off to war and well one day he stopped sending letters and he never came home." She looked down at her shoes. "Oh mom. I'm sorry." I got up and hugged her. "That's why I had to get with your dad. He was the only guy left with enough money to pay for my college." She smiled and sighed. "Well, I'm going to let you unpack." She turned and walked out of the room. I dreamed of Harry and I running away together that night.
