Umm, yeah so after my very eloquent reply Norman looked confused, but luckily my brain caught up just in time.
"Wait, sorry I heard you the first time, ummm and I-I'd l-love to."
What the fuck, since when do I stutter, well he still hasn't responded, let's hope he hasn't changed his mind.......
~Normans POV
Oh.My.God.
I just saw the most adorable sight ever. Ray stuttered and blushed and was like so adorable, I watched him brush his bangs behind his ear. I got to see both of his amazing emerald eyes which seemed almost grass green in the bright light. I could practically see them sparkling in excitement. I almost forgot to reply.
" oh, that-that's good, so umm I'll text you?"
"Sure that sounds good" he said in that adorable way of his. I nodded and turned to go away, but before I could move even three steps I felt a hand grab my wrist. I turned to look at Ray.
"Yes?" I asked calmly, but panicking on the inside, did he change his mind? He looked so nervous.
"I just wanna know, um is this a joke?" At the confused look on my face he moved to say more.
" It's just that I know, well your one of the most popular boys in our class, and you could have any of the girls in our class, so why me?"
He must have taken my look of surprise at his question as confusion.
" I totally understand if your trying to make someone jealous or something but um the thing is well I have actual feelings for you..."
I looked so surprised,
" I totally understand if that grosses you out or something, and I understand that I'm not pretty like Gilda, or popular like Don, or as-"
I cut him off with a hug.
"Shut up, shut the fuck up right now, stop comparing yourself to everyone"
"But why not we both know it's true!" He looked up at me with tears in his eyes that were now a forest green. He looked so broken, I hated it. I pulled him closer by the waist.
"Listen to me, okay? You are the most amazing person I know, even after all the shit you went through you are still so sweet and try so hard. And you might think your ugly but honestly you are so fucking beautiful, and damn have you seen your eyes? And back to your first question, I asked you out for all these reasons and more. And well I- I like you too, so Ray will you pls go out with me?"
He was silent before he hugged me back and said a small yes. I broke out into a smile. He moved his head away from my chest and looked up at me, and we looked at each then I looked at his lips before we both began to lean in.....
