"I don't know if this will do bad or good for your reputation."
I smiled up at Technoblade as he stood overlooking the light blue ocean, I reached up and brushed a strand of pink hair behind his ear.
"I just want the people to see you aren't that bad for a pirate."

"What if I want them to fear me?"
He spoke in a quiet tone, I frown.

"Technoblade how do you benefit from everyone fearing you?"

"It keeps them at bay. They know their place and I know mine."

"Techno.."

I couldn't read him. He would be all soft one moment and a piece of ice the next..

I frown, pulling my hand from his shoulder and just admiring the necklace he had bought me.

Truthfully, I didn't know a pirate would offer to buy something rather than just taking it. Techno was admirable.

"We should head back, I'm tired."
Technoblade didn't give me time to answer and just started walking, I grabbed onto his cape before I lost him in the sudden crowed of people.

Everyone was out now, to see me. To see my interactions with their feared..king? Technoblade.

Techno grabbed my hand and pushed through the people. They kept asking me things and saying terrible things about Technoblade. I felt bad for making him bring me here..

"Enough!"
He yelled, stopping dead in his tracks.
"Clear a path and be quiet or I will quiet you myself."
He growled, taking out a dagger, everyone instantly doing as he said.

I frown but stay quiet, pulling my hood on with my free hand, and getting dragged along by Techno back up to the castle.

"I'm sorry.."

"Don't apologize..just go to your room please. I am going to take a bath."
He let go of my hand as soon as we got in the castle, not even looking back at me as he walked up the steps.

"Athena your back! How was it?"
Phil greeted me with a smile.

"It was terrible..the people are so cruel to Technoblade.."
I felt like crying, tears stung my eyes as I just hugged Phil. He patted my back.

"Yeah Techno isn't liked around here..despite him helping as much as he could around here they never saw the good in him."

"What happened..?"
I look up at him.

"I'll tell ya once you've eaten and gotten ready for bed."

I nod, walking ahead of him to my from to change into a night gown so I could go back downstairs and eat dinner.

I couldn't help but stare into the mirror. I marveled at the necklace. I wonder if I could convince everyone back at home that Techno was actually a good person? Maybe not..

After changing into my white night gown, I decided to stop at Technoblade's room before going down to get dinner. I wanted to invite him to eat with us.

"Techno? Would you like to have dinner with Phil and I?"
I knock

"No thank you."
He croaked.

"Alright then..goodnight."
I frown at the door.

"Goodnight."
He replied, and it was silent once again.

...

"I'm never having him take me to the town ever again! Phil everyone was horrible to him! He doesn't even feel like talking to me! I think I messed up!"
I lay my head on the table in defeat. My mother would have smacked my head and told me to have manors.

Phil chuckled at me with empathy, taking a bite of bread and a sip of his wine.
"He will be over it by the morning don't worry Athena. He took you to town rather than having me or someone else take you because he wanted to make you happy."

I groan. Sitting back up and taking a big bite of bread.
"I still feel terrible..how do I make it up to him?"

Phil thought for a moment, then he smiled.
"Techno loves deserts. You could make him an apology cake and then ask to go to a pretty place. I know of one but it is up to him to take you there."

"Phil you are a genius! Though..I've never made a cake in my life.."

"That is all the better! Try your best. I will not be helping you."
He giggled evilly and I growl.

"Phillll!"

"Byeee!"
He quick left, I just sat there for a good few minutes.

I would bake the cake in the morning and then bring Technoblade down to see it, and there I would ask him to take us somewhere so we could enjoy it together, and I would be able to formally apologize and maybe learn more about him.

I begin to walk back up to my room, but I was stopped by yelling in Technoblade's room.

Schlatt and Techno were arguing..

"Captain you aren't thinking straight! Her betrothed is..you know who! We could use her to kill him for revenge! He got us into all of this and he could be our ticket out! All you have to do is kill-"

I heard a loud smack.
"Get out Schlatt!"
Technoblade yelled.

I startled, scrambling to hide in a dark corner as I see Schlatt stumble out of Technoblade's room, holding his cheek in pain as he just walked down the hall silently.

His eyes were dark and full of silent rage and I suddenly felt like I was in danger though he didn't see me.

Technoblade came out of his room a few seconds later just as I was standing up and out in the open. We made eye contact, both of us froze in place.

"What did you hear?"
He finally asked.

"All of the last part.."
I reply.

We were both silent again, I shifted uncomfortably under his cold eyes.

"I'm not going to hurt you, I won't let anyone. So don't fret."
He slowly approached me.
"And I am also sorry for how I have been treating you. I just.."
He trailed off.
"Get to bed."
He pet my head.

"Can we..um...go to a pretty place tomorrow?"
I stuttered out, my cheeks red for some reason.

Technoblade seemed to freeze, his breath hitched and he took his hand from my head.
He began to walk past me down the steps,
"Absolutely not."
