They reached the cafeteria talking about their plans for future. Upon reaching the cafeteria, they saw there were only one, no, two other boys standing there. One was wearing a dark black varsity jacket, matching his hair. His body was littered with tattoos. He had bought 2 ice teas and then leant down on the counter to pay.

That was when Louis saw the other boy. He had green jade eyes, brown chocolate curls and was way taller than Louis himself. Louis didn't know how long he had been staring at that boy, because he realized he had to move only when he saw the other boy stretch back up and gaze long at Liam.

Louis turned back to see Liam gazing at the tattooed-boy like he had seen God Himself. He shook Liam and said, "Hey! Lima! Are you alright?" "Oh, uhm, yeah, of course..." Louis pulled Liam towards the counter, who seemed to be in oblivion. While nearing the counter, the green-eyed boy looked at Louis, revealing a big dimpled smile. Louis returned the smile, with his eyes crinkling at the corners, making the boy gaze at him till he and the other boy disappeared from the cafeteria.

Louis bought a cheese sandwich for himself and he turned to ask Liam what he wanted, "Liam what do you want? ...Are you alright Liam?" "Oh yeah, I am fine, buy me doughnuts." "Are you sure?" "Yeah, why?" "You hate doughnuts..." "Oh...right, buy me a sandwich too." Louis was now worried about Liam.

He bought the sandwiches and glad he had a free period, moved out of the cafeteria, Liam being pulled by his left arm. He moved to the parking lot knowing it was the place he could do whatever he wanted without anyone interrupting him.

Louis took Liam to the parking lot and gave him his sandwich. "Eat this. Now." Liam didn't object and started nibbling on his sandwich.

"Now, you tell me," Louis said after seeing Liam halfway through with his sandwich, "What went wrong with you in there?" Liam looked at him with guilty eyes. "Louis, I-I'm so sorry, today has already been a tough day for you and here I'm-" "Li, Li, Li, you're the most important person in my life. You have to tell me now, forget the fact that I had a tough morning. I want to know; I want to help you out..."

Liam started tearing up. "Louis, I-it happened... I can't believe it..." "What are you talking about Liam? Calm down buddy, first calm down. Then tell me what happened." Liam took a few deep breaths, then continued, "Louis, did you see those two boys in the cafeteria?" "Yeah, I did. What about them?" "The one who had the tattoos, I-I- I think I fell in love with him..."

Louis stood there in confusion. Did he hear right? "Liam you what? Fell in love? You...don't even know him?" "I know him, he's Zayn, he's in Spanish class with me. I have known him since we joined this University. Known him in the sense I have never spoken to him, but I have observed him and I know everything about him. I didn't tell you about this earlier because I wanted to be sure myself. But I think I fell for him the very first time I saw him... 2 years ago."

Louis was dumbfounded. His mate had fallen in love?! Oh goodness, he had never expected that. He thought Liam was sick and was going to throw up. But no, this was way too different and Liam wasn't sick. He was in love. And with who? That boy in the cafeteria, so called Zayn. He wondered why he hadn't noticed Liam's feelings earlier, almost ashamed of himself. He realized Liam was waiting for him to speak and snapped out of his thoughts.

"Liam that is... that's wonderful mate! You should've actually told me earlier. I wouldn't have gotten worried about your sudden changes in behaviour during weird times of the day." He then remembered the way Liam would be all good then suddenly someone would pass them in the corridor and he would stay quiet till they left that place. Then in football grounds, he'd forget to drink energy drinks and instead drink tea. Then again in the cafeteria some time ago, asking for doughnuts despite hating them. Now he realized that all those times he had either seen Zayn or was thinking about him. It was all coming in a flash, making clear that Liam was indeed in love with Zayn.

"I never actually expected you to fall in love like this, you know. I thought you would take ages to find love, but here we go. I am so happy for you Li! But what about him? Does he feel the same or does he know you or anything?" Louis nearly shouted.

"Woah Tommo calm down! He obviously knows me the way I know him, but we've never spoken, like I said. And I'm not even sure he likes me, I mean, why would he? Who am I to him? Nothing but some student in this Uni." "But even you fell for him without speaking to him? He was also nothing more than another student in the Uni till you fell for him? Don't lose hope, Payno, we still don't know about his feelings."

Liam was overwhelmed with emotions. All he did was hugged Louis tight. Louis hugged him back, being the one who loved cuddles. "Thank you so much Louis, I thought you would not believe me or something." "How can I not believe you Payno? You're my best friend and probably the only I have."

He then thought of asking the thing stuck in my head, "By the ways Liam, who was the other boy in the cafeteria? The one with Zayn?" He thought his heart might break all his ribs by beating so hard. He didn't even know why he was interested in that unknown kid.

"Oh that was the boy I was talking about in the morning. Remember the boy who joined our music class today? That newbie?" Liam replied. Louis nearly froze. He's a newbie and a singer? Wow... "Oh, okay... Come on let's go, we have half an hour for the next class." They moved towards the Uni from the parking lot. Louis saw Zayn and that newbie near the entrance of the school, talking about something very seriously, sipping their ice tea. He didn't understand why that new boy made him weak at his knees. He ignored them and continued moving into the Uni with Liam.

This good? Probably my favourite chapter so far.

1105 words, I am kinda satisfied now...
