Siya's pov:
The next day started with gigglings, laughter and chatterings of all my family members, sitting together and planing out the further events some busy knowing about the groom and my cousins busy wrapping my gifts.
I washed off the henna from my hands and legs and was shocked to see the dark colour of it. Today was my sangeet and chooda ceremony, wherein all the women of the family were present singing various bhajans and songs making the whole atmosphere of the house alive and chirpy.

I seemed to be lost in the pool of my thoughts and started to admire the house which I will have to leave soon...... My legs involuntarily started moving and I started to move around the house admiring the place which was and is my heaven and started remenscing the times I have spend here, my first birthday, my first steps, my first tooth, the first day of my school where I was excited to meet new people and make many friends whereas Maa papa were emotional, the first time when I won a prize for elocution competition and my many more first... Drowned in my past I didn't realize when I reached my parents bedroom and was adoring the pictures of us right from our childhood hung on their walls.
"Siya.....baccha do you need something?" I heard my maa's voice and that brought me back to the present swiftly wiping off the tears
I turned to face her and could see glint of tears in her eyes, I immediately rushed to hug her as if a small kid asking her mother to never leave her.
She started patting my head to calm me,
" Siya, bacha you were and will always be our daughter no matter what and trust me your husband will always be there for you he is a gem." I nodded my head not knowing what to answer but I trusted her. " Siya life won't be same after your marriage and I trust my daughter she will always give her best but always remember beta marriage is not about two people but about two families so your each and every word, action and decisions will affect both the families so before taking any step always think twice about it's effect but while doing so never let anyone put you down or misjudge you. Sacrifice and adjustments are the base of any relationship but it should be from both sides, be considerate towards each other and whatever misunderstandings you'll have make sure you both talk it out and sort it before it takes some ugly turn, most of the relationships fall apart due to such misunderstandings. Always let the other one explain and be patient it always helps baccha." I was lost in her words," will I ever be able to establish this type of relationship with him?" I started questioning myself.
Keeping my head on my mother's lap I didn't realise when sleep engulfed me.
After few hours I felt some light touches on my forehead making me frown in sleep but after realizing It was my father I smiled lightly and opened my eyes to see him sitting close to me caressing my forehead he then lightly pecked my forehead, " baccha you will be very happy trust us ( and I just kept my head on his lap showing my trust on them) baccha we are really sorry for imposing this marriage on you but this is the only way we could secure your happiness please forgive us".
"Papa I trust you, if you think he is the one for me then that is more than enough for me to accept this marriage. You have always choosed the right for me I trust you papa and I am happy" I said with honesty in my eyes.
"Thik hai now it's your chooda rasam shall we?" He asked forwarding his hand out and I gladly accepted it and was taken down and made to sit on a floral bench.

Jaya and Siddhi brought a huge tub filled with milk and chooda dipped in it.

Maa started to remove those chooda from the milk and started cleaning them with a cloth and placed them on a plate, the plate was then taken to all the elders of the family to touch it impart their blessings to the bride

Then Jaya and Siddhi made me wear those beautiful red and white chooda making my hands look even more beautiful as the henna had already adorned my hands with a dark colour making me treat for my siblings and family members to tease me mercilessly for getting a very loving husband making me roll my eyes on their senseless comments and sometimes blush, yes! Blush... Huh!
Soon my brother made me wear beautiful kalleras with shinny bead chain and beautiful chimming beads at the end of it making a tingling sound when shaken a bit making me smile at them.

Then my Masi ( mother's sister) brought a beautiful silver anklets for me which she had especially designed for me and I must they were looking mesmerizing when she hooked them around my legs
