Chapter 31- Hide and Seek

Writer~San: Update, the power went out. I was definitely not expecting this. Woke up early this morning, my gecko was freezing due to how cold the house got without the heaters running. He's doing okay now, he's a strong little dude. Hoping the power doesn't shut down so we don't have this scare again ;w;

Mutt and I have just been chilling, since our movie ended a while ago. Chara comes rushing downstairs, screaming, "Y/N! N/N!! N/N!" Razz is more calm as he comes downstairs too. I sit up and turn towards her, "Calm down, I can hear you clearly. What is it, Chara?"

She's holding a piece of paper in her hand, "I need to find the last word!" She hands it to me and bounces up and down impatiently, as if I was going to find the answer faster than 2 seconds. I take a look at it, after a moment, the word immediately stood out to me. I trace my finger across it and show her the paper, "It's right there."

She circles it and then shouts a victory war cry. Sans smirks, "What is with you? Are you really that excited to be my fan?" Chara screams, "DETERMINATION!"

I whisper to Mutt, "We found someone that could compete with Sans on a scream rating." Papyrus hides his face, trying not to laugh.

I ask, "Hey Chara, I thought your hiding spot was 'the absolute best'. Why did you get caught first?" She pouts, "I could've beaten you if MUTT hadn't thrown me off guard!" Barb chuckles, "Y-You're w-w-welcome."

Sans chimes in, "There's only one way to settle this." Barb stands up, stretching, "H-Hold on. I n-n-need to prepare m-myself f-f-for t-this." Razz shouts, "It's not that hard! It's obvious I will triumph over all of you!"

I turn to Pap, "What's going on?" He smiles, "W-We're gonna play some h-h-hide and s-seek."

Chara is all bundled up in a puffy jacket, apparently it belonged to Sans at one time but he refused to say anything else. Papyrus and I are matching with our jackets and turtleneck sweaters.

Razz steps off the porch and into the snow, "Alright, here's how it's going to work! We'll split into two teams. Obviously it would be unfair for my brother and myself to work together since we both have magic. We'll split with one of us and then one of the humans. Also, I don't want the two girls to be roaming around by themselves. Hiders can go anywhere as long as it's in close range of Snowdin. You must hide together or near each other. Don't go too deep into the woods, we don't know everything that's lurking in it. Mutt, you have your phone, use it to contact me if anything happens."

Barb nods, "You feel like h-hiding this t-time?" Razz shakes his head, "No way, I object! I'm the only one deserving of the predator role, the hunter, the thing to be feared! I'll be seeking." Mutt had no objections, he shrugs, "Okay."

Chara raises her hand, "I'll seek too. Y/N, you think your hiding is so special but wait till I find you in 10 minutes flat!"

'That's interesting, normally everyone wants to be hiders.'

I smirk, "You just keep telling yourself that. I'll be so hidden that you won't find me, even if I was standing right in front of your face." Chara is pumped up, I could feel the determination radiating off of her.

Sans looks to Papyrus and I, teasing, "I know you two are lovebirds and you'll enjoy being alone together. However Y/N, why don't you play nice with my brother, okay? I would like him to keep his innocence as long as possible."
