I'm going to call this art - Powerful Frost. Because doesn't he look like he could take on the world? Okay now that we have admired someone else's artwork we move on to the story.

Oh and I know I didn't say anything at the end, but I wanted it to be dramatic! And I think I did a pretty good job of that. So, let's get you out of that cliffhanger.

I also realized that I have been putting the POV, but it always going to be your POV. So, I ain't gonna write that anymore. Unless it changes (which I doubt).

Sickness

Jack didn't like my idea. For lack of a better word, he hated it. Sadly there wasn't any other way that I knew existed. Seeing as nobody could see me, I had plenty of time to think mentally throughout my spirit life. I looked around for ways to save my magic if something were to happen for about 3 years at some point. Clearly, it was a good idea.

We would have already found Cupid if Jack only let me use a locator spell or something. Yet, he wouldn't even let me get out of bed. He decided that he was going to carry me across the world while we looked for Cupid.

Cupid and Jack have never gotten along, and honestly, I don't blame them. Whenever Jack would accidentally bump into Cupid, he would get an arrow in the face. That didn't seem like a welcoming greeting. Then, Jack would come back at him with an icicle in hand. It seemed like it would be pretty painful, but I wouldn't know, seeing as I was never there.

I had been counting how long I have been without actually walking myself, and it's been around 24 hours! I slept for 8 hours, then I was awake in the infirmary for like an hour, and now we have been flying for 15 hours looking for Cupid.

Still, he was nowhere to be found.

I felt that my legs had become so numb they would fall off. Not only that, but my back hurt from being cradled in Jack's arms for a straight 15 hours! "Jack, do you think we could take a break and let me stretch? I'm completely numb," Jack sighed in defeat, drifting down toward a small patch in the woods that we were gliding over. Once we landed, Jack helped me walk back into the woods so that the trees would cover us. "Thank you."

"We have looked all over with no luck! [Y/N] you have to know of another way! I am starting to get the feeling that he doesn't want to be found." Jack crossed his arms while he paced back and forth.

Before I could go, his arms uncross, and he started to pull his hair. I was getting worried he would pull it right out of his head. "I could just do a lo-"

"NO! You can't do any magic; you have to know that! Just get that through your stubborn head of yours." I frowned at him. I tried telling him that everything will be okay, but he wouldn't listen. He was telling me all his ideas out loud, but I had already tried them all!

I wish that I would have one of my great, convenient ideas. Unfortunately for both of us, I didn't have any. After a couple of minutes in silence, I had an idea. Not my best granted, but it was something.

Even with my great idea in my mind, I had to pitch it to Jack's.

"Jackson..." I knew that it wasn't the best way to start talking, but it didn't matter to me. According to Dr. Phil: I was going to die soon anyway. What does anything matter? Still, the hurt look in his eye was too painful for even me to look at. "I have," I gulped, "an umm, idea?"

I couldn't see Jack, but I could tell that he was awaiting my glorious idea! How am I going to explain to him the plan now? I don't even have to open my eyes to know that he is hopeful, too hopeful. My eyes slowly opened. "The last time I saw Cupid was when I was blinded by rage. When I ran into Pitch's lair. I thought Pitch went there because I would know how to find..."

Jack's head tilted, and he raised his eyebrow. When I went there, Cupid was there! He knew where to go too. How could he have figured it out as well? I thought Pitch made it easy for me to see because he wanted me to find him? Why in the world was Cupid there? "Is everything alright? You stopped talking." Jack's voice seemed to fade in with the whistling of the trees.

"Umm. I, umm. Oh! Cupid was there. I don't know how he knew where to go. But, he was there! Anyway, I think Cupid is following Pitch."

My eyes looked into Jack's. His eyes were flooded with fear; he knew what I was going to say. "I think that if we find Pitch, we are going to find Cupid." Jack rapidly shook his head.

"Nope, mm-mm, no, no, no. Not gonna happen, Hallow. I won't allow it, you are going to wait back at the Pole, and I am going to look for Cupid. Alone."

He hasn't called me Hallow since... Forever! Seeing as I was shocked by the sudden nickname switch, I couldn't protest. At least I can get a moment's peace. I could also maybe try to walk by myself for once? The only problem was then I couldn't help Jack. I would become useless! Although even if I could go, Jack wouldn't let me help.

I nodded in compliance.

Suddenly I was scooped up bridal style, and we lifted off the ground. We zoomed back to the Pole in record time, about 32 minutes and 47 seconds. While it really isn't record time, we were in the middle of Australia. So, I thought it was pretty impressive.

I was escorted straight to bed. While I was tired, I wasn't planning on sleeping while Jack was risking his life for me.

"Alright, [Y/N} you have to promise me you will get some sleep."

My hand clutched his. "You know that I can't do that," Jack claimed that I was still burning hot, even after being carried by him for 15+ hours. That was the only reason that I had no blankets. He took every last one and threw it across the room!

The room, although it was neat, it was bare. There wasn't much furniture, nor were there many decorations—this caused Jack to sit on the bed with me. But, after my comment, his face darkened.

I assumed it was because I wasn't going with whatever he said. Yet his face looked too dark and gloomy for it to just be because of that. If I asked him what the expression meant, it appeared like he would cry. Luckily he had an answer, "I'm sorry, I didn't want to do this."

"Do what?" I looked at him up and down to make sure that he didn't hit me with something while I looked at his face. He cupped my right cheek with his left hand. I couldn't see below with his arm blocking my eyesight.

He pulled me close into a hug, and I felt his other hand move. "Forgive me." His whispered apology was followed by him pouring something on my head.

I began to feel dizzy and weaker than I felt before. What was that? As I clutched the side of the bed, my legs numbed. Everything numbed. I fought to keep my eyes open. I heard Jack tell me to give in, which would make this easier. My eyes began to flutter without my telling them to. Jack got off the bed to look back at me one last time. I was lying down, innocent as could be.

With the last of my energy, I looked at Jack with a sadden, betrayed look. Everything blacked out, and I was alone in the darkness.
