Soulmates.
Taehyung has always found this concept strange. And why not?
The sadistic mistress, Fate, ties you to another human being for reasons only she is aware of. She forces two hearts to love each other, just because of that thin thread that ties them together.
He has read about these strings. They are of different sizes and colours— red, scarlet, pink, blue— no less than the flavours of ice cream. They are usually not visible to any one else than the soulmates but they say they are tied around their little pinkies. But for him?
His neck.
It's like some leash for a dog, except it glows and can pass through walls. Jimin often joked about how his pink finger flicks away whenever Taehyung moves away as if tugging their red strings along.
Going by the same concept— if it's true, then he can't be very far away from Eunbee to stretch string so much that it strangles either of them.
So the farthest he could come to was the empty studio across the lounge. He wanted to run away, not sit and stare at Eunbee's betrayed expression.
