Many bodies were surrounding a masked figure in the middle of Wellston School. However, in particular, the bleeding bodies of the King, Queen and Jack were the most horrifying to see in the eyes of Wellston's students. They couldn't believe it. Arlo, Remi and Blyke were defeated? And all three at the same time?
It wasn't just the Royal squad, who were defeated. You could see the body of the newspaper club's leader, Isen, who was an established elite tier in Wellston's hierarchy. There were many familar faces scattered across the school who tried to help the Royals, which turned into a helpless effort:
The Ventus-Meili duo, infamous for having each other's back and covered each other's weaknesses and complimented each other's strengths.
Holden, the 10th strongest inside of Wellston, and Arlo's personal assistant.
And many more people who tried saving the hierarchy.
The masked figure standing on top of Arlo's body had a height shorter than him, but was significantly more muscular than Arlo. The figure's arms and legs looked worn out like a target for bullying, likely due to the fights he fought. The masked figure already had a name for itself. It was known as the Joker of Wellston, most likely originating from how the Royals were referred by card titles. The majority of people feared it, either out of respect or out of disgust for destroying the hierarchy, and due to its immense power. The masked figure had already achieved his goal, and it was for her sake.
--The Masked Figure's Perspective--
''No more Royals''
''No more Hierarchy''
I thought. I was staring into space, wondering if it was really the right direction for it to take, because the amount of bodies surrounding was starting to give me some unpleasant memories of my past life. But this time,
''I didn't boast about my power''
''I didn't oppress those who were weaker than me''
''I didn't hurt anyone''
''I didn't do anything wrong''
''I had no choice!''
Then suddenly, I hear someone running to me. It was Seraphina, but why does she look so familiar? She had the same run as her. She had the same face as her. She even had the same emotion as her. It didn't take me long to realise that I knew where this was heading.
''John, what have you done?!'' she shouted in fear, with tears flowing down in her face.
Why does it always end like this?
And then I realised. Everyone is the same, and will always forever be the same. No one will ever understand me and relate to me. No matter how I change, no matter how many times I am victorious, no matter how many friends I make. It all leads to one end, and that I will always be the loser. My sense of reality was becoming to fade away, and being replaced by anger. Its going to happen again...
''Are you going to betray me as well?!'' I asked rhetorically to Seraphina
''So all this time, you have been hiding your powers to me all along! No wonder how you got your unparalleled confidence! Our friendship was just built on lies, and you used my own weakness for your own benefit! You were the one who betrayed me first!'' she cried
I raised my fist, unable to control my emotions and started coming at her. I shouted,
''SHUT UP CLAIRE, YOU DO NOT KNOW EVERYTHING!''
I didn't want this to happen, so why do I get the blame for it?
No. No. No. NO!
--In a Train--
John woke up in a train seat with many people looking at him like he was a lunatic. There was a blonde, tall boy standing near him while John looked pale, coming from his nightmare
''Looks like you had a good sleep, John'' the blonde boy sarcastically stated
''It was nothing much, Arlo, once in a while you experience some bad dreams, am I right Arlo?'' he replied
''I guess...'' he replied, ''But make sure you don't do this every time you board a train, please.''
''Don't worry, I won't!'' John laughed, ''So anyways, where are we headed?''
''To Turf Wars.''
John looked shocked hearing the last 2 words that uttered from Arlo's mouth.
''Turf Wars?!, you know I'm not really built for that type of errand, since I am a cripple and all...''
''Don't worry.'' Arlo interrupted, ''And also, you wouldn't be fighting any other schools anyway.''
''I guess...''
After Arlo and John got off their train, they quietly walked to the empty patch of land that was usually turf wars territory. Disputes over land and other needs were discussed there, but practice fights could also be fought over there. There John saw 2 familiar faces waiting for him. They were the ones who broke his phone, which made it hard for him to contact his best friend.
John was beginning to have a shiver on his spine, not being aware of the events that would soon follow...
---Wildcard(An UnOrdinary Fanfiction) Prologue End---
Writer's notes
That was probably the first fanfic I have ever wrote in my life, I probably may try to change things up from the original story, but I will still keep some certain details from the original story in tact.
If you want to give me some constructive criticism, then feel free!
I'm not really sure about the schedule for this fanfic, but I will try to make the publishing as consistent as possible. Chapter 1 will be at the very least be this month, so stay tuned!
