The room was cold and dark, there were no Windows other than a small slit in the door. I had been in the same spot for what felt like hours but I honestly didn't know, all of a sudden I heard keys rattling in the door and it opened. A tall man with dark hair walked in and locked the door behind him, he crouched in front of me "you're Tommy's girl", I shrunk back and nodded. He smiled "never known a Shelby be so quiet" i gritted my teeth "why am I here" I asked, he sighed "because you are the only way we'll get through to your father" he tried to touch my face but I ducked away. He stood up and walked out, locking the door again.

I bit back tears, I knew my dad would be looking for me I was just scared that he'd be too late. I lay on the floor, curled up in a ball and tried to force myself to go to sleep.

I woke up to the door opening again and the same man walking in "get up" he said, I slowly got to my feet, stumbling a little. I stayed in the corner until he beckoned me forward, I walked towards him, I was so scared. He put a bag back over my head and dragged me out the room, down a corridor and into a car. After what felt like the longest car drive ever I was dragged out of the car and pushed me a little then removed the bag from over my head, my dad was there, along with all the other peaky blinders. I don't wanted to run to my dad but there were guns pointing everywhere. There was lots of shouting and negotiating, I tried to take my chance and run but I was grabbed and yanked back, a gun was pressed to my left temple, i whimpered and my dad and uncles took a step forward and I heard the click of a loaded gun. All of a sudden there was the deafening sound of at least 50 gunshots all going off at once, I tried to run but I felt a sudden sharp pain of a bullet hitting me in the side and I dropped to the floor.

I lay on the floor, my breathing was unsteady, my vision was blurring and I saw Arthur lean down next to me "TOMMY, SHES BEEN HIT" he screamed and with it a second my dad was there and pressed a hand on my bullet wound, i whimpered in pain."CALL A FUCKING AMBULANCE" I reached for my dad, and he grabbed my hand "you're alright just stay with me now, don't close your eyes" I looked at him, for the first time in years I saw pure fear in his eyes. "I'm s....sc.....scared" I coughed out. Black spots clouded my vision, the last thing I heard was my dad "don't close your eyes come on now" before everything went black.
