It had been around 2 weeks since my dad sent me to live with Ada, we hadn't heard anything and I was starting to get worried.

I was sat at the table reading....well trying to when there was a knock at the door. I looked at Ada who returned a confused look then got up to answer it, I heard some muffled talking then Ada and my uncle John walked in the room. "Pack up your stuff Mol you're coming home" he said with a grin on his face, my eyes widened and I smiled excitedly before running upstairs to pack all my things.

Uncle John helped me lifted my bag into the car then I hugged Ada goodbye and got into the car. "Is everyone ok?" I asked he paused for a moment before answering "a few cuts and bruises, nothing serious" I nodded and stared out the window watching as we drove past fields and small villages. It was a long drive and I must have fallen asleep because I was woken up by John nudging my arm "we're home." I stepped out the car, I was nervous for some reason, I noticed the Garrison was being rebuilt, it looked like it had been burnt down. John noticed my worried expression and put his hand on my shoulder "it was a war Molly, people were hurt, things round here are a bit different now" I nodded and walked inside, thank god this place hasn't changed. I followed my uncle into the shop where everyone was including my dad.

He had his back turned to me so didn't notice until Arthur gently hit his shoulder and nodded in my direction, he turned around and breathed out with a smile. I ran into his arms, it was a feeling I'd missed more than anything, I looked at him and ran my tiny fingers over the new cuts and bruises on his face, I looked at him "did they hurt you?" He smiled "only a little bit, but we got em they're gone for good now" I smiled and looked at Arthur, he looked sad. I moved from my dads arms and walked over to him, Everyone watched with caution as I approached my uncle. I placed my hand gently on his and he looked at me, "did you get hurt?" I asked trying to work out why he was so sad, he forced a smile and shook his head. I hugged him "don't be sad, things have changed but it's better now, that's what uncle John told me" I said and everyone smiled a little including Arthur, "wise words from an idiot" he said to which John just laughed and leaned against one of the wooden pillars.

It was later in the evening and I was laying on my dads lap, on my back so I could see him. I had my small knitted horse that was given to me by Aunt Polly, "dad?" He hummed in response and looked down at me "when you fought the bad men, did you definitely get them all?" I asked, he placed his hand on my head "now why are you worrying about that eh?" He asked me, "because I don't want them to come back, they were scary" I said shivering slightly at the thought of the day when the man grabbed me. My dad looked at Arthur then Polly then back to me "they're gone, for good" he said and I nodded "can we go and see the horses tommorow?" I asked and my dad chucked "alright then, we'll go" I smiled, I was finally home.
