I imagine that Nikei isn't very good at expressing his feelings, so Valentine's Day is always a nightmare for him. He's alright at showing affection but having to put those feelings into words? Nah. Funny, considering he's the ultimate journalist. Be assured that Mikado got lots of kisses when Nikei got home.
Also yes, hc that Mahiru will do photography for Nikei's articles. I literally didn't even know she was a character until wayyy after I should have. Like, I genuinely did not know she was a character until 3 months in the fandom. And when I saw her I was so confused thinking she was a random character the anime threw in, but nah. So I'm trying to show our favorite photographer some love!
