Backstory of Six and Mono

Six stared at Shadow Six with a look of shock and confusion, not knowing how to truly process the current events. It had only been a few minutes since she left the Maw and arrived on the main land once again. Six had escaped the Maw by truly horrific means, but she didn't mind it. In fact, it only made her stronger. Her powers had grown past anything she had ever hoped for, and now nothing could stop her from living her own life... Well, except herself that is. Shadow Six. Six had seen her doubleganger the first time when she had dropped Mono to his doom. Shadow Six was, well, her shadow. Everything Six considered weak about herself that had somehow been given life due to her absorbing Mono's powers back at the signal tower... Shadow Six had come to claim something of Six's, something that she thought the true Six didn't deserve... A soul. Back during the first time, Shadow Six had only taken a small portion of her soul, just enough to give herself a form and to give Six her 'curse'. Or, rather a 'blessing' in Six's eyes. Neither of them would now what would happen when the shadow did that, they only knew that there was no going back afterwards....

Six woke up from her dream, or memory more rather. Dazed a little she got up from her sleeping spot and gazed around, still finding herself at the mainland. She really needed to learn it's name, 'cause 'mainland' is getting old pretty quickly. With a sigh, Six held out her hand to summon 'it' again. A few seconds pass and Six's soul floats from her body as a small red heart. Though it was fractured, broken, and even corrupted. (Maybe taking the rest of Six's soul was a bad idea after all... No, she deserved it. She got the fate that she was destined to have... Destined... I-Is it Mono's destiny to become the Thin Man? Can I actually save him? Can I save everyone?) Six thought to herself, still not considering herself the true Six despite having a complete soul. Sighing, Six's soul retreated back into her body as she began to walk around. One of the perks of having a body made of dark energy is that Six could control her own body unlike anyone can. So she never needed to eat or drink or even sleep. Though, she could still die just as easily as anyone else, as she didn't gain the true Six's soul powers fully. Just like how the True Six only got Mono's ability to warp from place to place at will, Six only got the True Six's ability to float and control smaller objects. Well, she didn't complain anyway, as she could avoid getting killed by all of the gross inhabitants of this city. They were nothing like the Viewers, as the only thing that could distract them was food... And it just so happens that children make a fine meal. Some denizens tried to get the yellow raincoat wearing girl, but she was too quick and smart to be caught so easily... But others weren't as lucky. Six had seen a few other kids the few months she's been free from herself, and they all met the same fate. Some Six had even befriended fell to the strange creatures of this world, and others just ran off. Showing that same selfishness the true Six was so famous for. Mono appeared to be the only kind boy she knew, which only made her want to get him out even more.

Six was so caught up in her monologue that she nearly ran off into the streets where 'the People of Flesh' as someone called them where running after someone. They were small and had a green poncho on, clearly a very young kid. (Maybe 3-5?) Six couldn't help but feel sad, knowing full well that being caught out in the open streets was a death sentence... But as fate would have it, this kid was saved from them. The People of Flesh stopped as a tale man with a hat appeared in front of them, making the kid stop as well. Six knew all too well who this guy was, if the tentacles drooping from his face wasn't enough, it was the Ferry Man. The one who would bring children to the Maw. Six wondered if the Ferry Man knew what would become of those children, or if he was just kept in the dark by it's leader... Oh yeah, probably should mention that the Maw is under new managment. It happened recently, with the one to claim the ship actually being a surprise to Six. It was the Janitor, the one who the true Six thought she had killed. He was always loyal to the ship, so it makes sense that he would keep it running. Even though not many denizens visited after the mass murder the true Six pulled off. Six still had no idea how Rodgers managed to survive his arms being ripped off, though the Janitor wasn't a normal man of course. Snapping back to reality for a minute Six watched the young boy take the hand of the Ferry Man and be pulled up into his hands, beginning to walk away to the shore. Six couldn't help but think of the Thin Man when looking at the Ferry Man, because in a lot of ways they were similar. Not just clothes. In a way, she considered the Ferry Man a friend, even though he sends children off to their doom. Six glanced back at the TV for a moment, she had completely forgot there was a TV store nearby... Six just got an idea...
