Erik's Pov
I was sprinting through the streets away from those of strange horseless carriages. It was the dead of the night why was it so bright out. The world has clearly changed since the last time I was up here. Panicking I didn't notice the ally I ran through came out into the street until it was too late. Trying to stop myself from crashing into the person that just appeared out of no were around the corner. As I did so I tripped on a piece of raised cobblestone slamming straight into the person. We tumbled down a hill causing me to slam my head on the ground. I felt dizzy for a second and then nothing.
When I woke up I was no longer in the streets I was in a bed in a well-lit room. Opening my eyes looking around more I discovered I was in one of the opera house rooms. Upon further observation of the room, I discovered that I wasn't alone. Sat next to the bed I lay in was a woman. she didn't look over the age of 24 she sat there looking at a small device in her hands not noticing I was awake. My Mask felt off as if it had been moved and a sudden flash of fear ran through me. ' had she taken off my mask had she seen my monstrous face?' no-no. I thought ' if she had seen my face I would still be out in the ditch that I had fallen into.
Calming myself down I slowly reached my hand up to fix it. This caught her attention looking up from the small box she said. "Oh good your awake. I thought you would be out a little longer, that was a pretty nasty fall we took. How are you feeling?"
That Voice. The same one from before she is the one who bought my opera house. Under her concerned stare, my face and neck began to heat up making me feel like a fool and it didn't help when she spoke to me again repeating her question. Which only made me feel like more of an idiot.
"Sir, are you alright?"
Lexi POV
The man seemed a little out of it like he didn't hear my question but his reaction this time was he went stiff and then he spoke. His voice was the most Strange yet beautiful voice I had ever heard. It was harsh yet smooth and was filled with so many emotions I was unable to read any of them other than a great sadness.
"Yes, I am alright. Why have you brought me here?"
