Marlene POV:

I suddenly woke with a start and found myself between the ruins of my house. What happened? Where was I? Oh no. The death eaters! I immediately found my wand under a lot of rubble but found that I didn't need it because there were absolutely no threats. I pointed it to nothing in particular and searched my surroundings, but nothing could be seen. Everything was a wreck. I know!

Lily, James, Sirius, Remus, they would know! They would surely all still be alive, right? Whatever- timeline- I was in. They should all be here. I hope. Unless- no. The death eaters couldn't have gotten to them. But what about the prophecy? What about Harry? What had happened, and where could I get answers?

Well, if there was any place I could get answers, it was the place I studied for 7 years straight, and where the greatest wizard of all time was headmaster. I hoped he still was because I don't know how to explain where I am or how this happened. I focused on my destination, hoping that it would allow me to pass, and with a quick pop, I disapparated.

What I found in front of me when I arrived was total wreckage. The entire great hall and front of the castle had collapsed, but yet it seemed peaceful. I didn't see anyone near, but I needed to find out what had happened, and find my friends. I realized that you could now apparate within the grounds, so I thought I would apparate in the hall just near the wreckage, inside of the castle. With a pop and a bit of suffocation this time, I arrived in a semi-destroyed hallway.

It was near the great hall, so that would explain it. I didn't hear many voices coming from the great hall, so I made my way towards the left, away from the massive wreckage. What happened? Where were the threats? The death eaters? Voldemort? Was any of this real? Was I dreaming? Why would the most important hall in Hogwarts be wrecked along with the outsides and probably the courtyard too? WHY?

Where would I find Lily? Was she even in the castle? Was she even- I hate to think this, but as she even alive? Was I in the future? Or maybe in the past? I found myself wandering the halls and examing them. They looked the same. Familiar. How could I tell? I needed to find someone. Anyone. Favorably Lily, James, Remus, or- Sirius.

I found myself missing him multiple times, even before I- passed out? Died? Fell asleep? I don't know, but the months before that incident, I found myself missing his jokes and laughs the most. Obviously along with Lily and James, but I felt different about Sirius. Almost as if I didn't have enough time with him. Oh no. Not enough time with him. What if he was- gone?

No. My Sirius wouldn't be gone. He was born a dueler. He wouldn't go down. Not without an epic fight at least. What if Sirius destroyed the great hall? That would explain it. I chuckled at my thoughts but suddenly stopped when I heard footsteps coming from the hallways in front of me. They seemed to be running around frantically, and I quickly pulled out my wand and pointed it straight in front, waiting for the figure, but I immediately put my wand down when I saw who it was.

His curly locks were still there, but he looked like he had been through too much at too young of an age. His features were identical, but his eyes looked like he had seen too much. He was just as handsome as I had left him, from my perspective. We didn't waste another moment, knowing exactly what we both wanted, and that was each other. We both ran into each other and he caught me in mid-air as we both forced our lips together. My legs were now around him and he was holding me up with his strong arms as we kissed.

It felt like I had finally found something. I finally let out a sigh of relief, and I had finally found my meaning and my purpose to live. The emotions were everywhere, but the kiss kept going. I felt the life return in both of us as we were mouth to mouth, but I felt it, even more, when we finally let go and stared into each other's eyes.

"I've always wanted to do that." He breathed.

I had tears in my eye and he slowly started to put me down as we reached in for a hug, desperate for each other's embrace. I felt his arms go around my back as my feet touched the ground, but as happy as this moment could seem, I felt him start to whimper, and tears flooded my eyes again.

"You were dead. They murdered you and Peter betrayed the Potters." He cried.

I stood there in his arms and tried to comprehend everything.

"I went after him, but they thought I was guilty, so I was gone for 12 years. Locked up in the middle of the sea." He whispered.

I felt tears dripping down my cheeks.

"I escaped soon and found Harry, but I died in his 5th year and joined you." He started.

I gasped and pulled out of the hug so I could look into his eyes and make sure he was really there.

"First you, then James, then Lily," He whispered.

"Harry survived?" I whimpered.

"Yes, and he beat him after he returned." He continued.

"And then I came back where I died and found James and Lily who were looking for me because they didn't know what had happened." Sirius started.

"So what did happen?" I asked, grasping one of his hands.

"There was a new prophecy that said that after Harry defeated Voldemort, all his friends and family would come back, and as soon as James, Lily, Remus, and I came back, I felt guilty because Harry never knew you, and I would spend the remainder of my life thinking about you, and even though I got a second chance, I would never forgive myself on not having it with-" I interrupted him with a kiss.

"You." He said through the kiss.

We both sighed and once again hugged as we both calmed down. Suddenly, we both heard footsteps, and our hands flew together as we turned around to find two people that looked almost identical.

"Ah. I thought we'd find you together." James chuckled, his voice still the exact same as when I last heard it.

I gasped, realizing who the boy next to him was. Obviously. It was Harry. My feet were glued to the floor and I couldn't move.

"Are you seeing double as well?" Sirius said, acting as if he was observing Harry and James.

Both of their hair was messy, they both had glasses, but Harry had Lily's eyes, and James was still carrying around that silly map.

"Still carrying around the map I see," I joked, starting to walk towards James who embraced me.

"Harry," He started as we pulled out of the hug.

"This is your supposed godmother!" He exclaimed as Harry shot him a look.

"Thank you for the introduction James." I snapped.

"Marlene will do." I smiled as I held out my hand awkwardly, but the boy with the familiar eyes chuckled and pulled me into a hug.

So like his mother.
