Harry POV:

"Ah, so Ms. McKinnon is back as well," Dumbledore said as we all walked through the door and found everyone waiting for us.

"Nevermind that Albus- everyone here needs an explanation- including myself," McGonagall said to Dumbledore sternly.

"Yes, Minerva I agree," Dumbledore said blandly.

"Harry, if you will," Dumbledore said, looking me in the eyes and beckoning me towards the Pensieve.

"I assume you've understood what we're to do," He said as I stared down into the Pensieve.

"Everyone gather around," I said calmly as I thought of memories with my eyes closed.

"Only the most important ones Harry. The faster the explanation the better," Dumbledore said as I put my wand up to my head and pulled out the thing white wisp of memories.

Hermione was now on my left with Ron and my parents- that's weird to say- were on my right.

I made sure everyone was ready and then I released the memories from the tip of my wand and into the Pensieve. After that, we all entered the Pensieve, slowly but surely, with me being the first.

Hermione and Ron entered immediately after me, and then Sirius and the twins appeared on the other side as Ginny and Tonks entered. Remus, Marlene, mum, and dad soon appeared, with Mr. and Mrs. Weasley following. Finally, Dumbledore and McGonagall entered, just as the memories started.

STOMP! STOMP! STOMP!

"WAKE UP COUSIN!" Dudley screamed as he banged on my small cupboard.

"WE'RE GOING TO THE ZOO!" He yelled, just as my eyes opened and the memory changed.

"Of course that's my sister's child," Mum groaned angrily.

"Why did the memory-" Hermione started, but Ron shushed her.

"Make it move!" Dudley demanded as he stared at the sleeping snake through the glass.

Vernon started to knock on the glass and Dudley started yelling.

"MOVE!" Dudley insisted as he banged on the glass.

"He's asleep!" I yelled at him.

"He's boring!" Dudley scoffed as the Dursleys moved away.

"Sorry about him, he doesn't understand what it's like, lying there day after day, watching people press their ugly faces in on you- Wha- can you hear me?!" I exclaimed to the snake as it looked up at me.

"Parseltongue," Mum muttered under breath in amazement.

"It's just- I've never talked to a snake before," I said to the snake.

"What are you saying?" Hermione asked me.

"Do you talk to people often?" I asked the snake, who shook his head.

"Small talk," I replied.

"Just wait," Ron muttered, who's heard the story many times.

"MUMMY! DAD COME HERE! You won't believe what the snake is doing!" Dudley yelled as he knocked me to the ground.

"Oof," Sirius let out.

Dudley examined the snake for a moment until the glass completely disappeared.

"AH AH!" Dudley yelled as he fell into the wet habitat.

The snake then exited and slithered past me on the ground.
