-time skip from where we left off-

After a comforting conversation with Thalia, Annabeth finally fell asleep. Though the dreams she had weren't the nicest. In the first, she saw Percy, the boy she spent years of her life with, being crushed under a rock. In the next, he was being murdered by so many monsters that she couldn't even count exactly how many there were. And in the last, instead of him being killed by a monster, it was her. Her dagger was in his chest. It was her fault. She did this to him. And on that note, it was a new day. Most people would start their morning eating breakfast, or working on personal hygiene. Though Annabeth just sat in her bed, refusing to move. This went on for days. She would brush her teeth sometimes, maybe even get a snack. But she never did anything she used to. She didn't train, she didn't even talk to anyone. She was on her own.

After time, August came around. The school Annabeth was supposed to attend started in 2 days, and she hadn't prepared. She was staring out the window, watching all the kids happily walk down the street. She envied them, they had the life she wanted. She was startled out of her thoughts when her father, Fredrick, entered the room. "Annabeth, school starts in 2 days, you need to make sure you have your bags packed." He said as he sat in a small chair that was located in the corner of her room. She did most of her reading there, but for the past few weeks, she hasn't even read. That thought was scary, a daughter of Athena not reading for longer than a day was torture on its own, but not reading for 6 weeks? That was a whole other story. She must have been thinking for a bit, as once again, she was abruptly taken out of her thoughts to her father speaking. "Well, I guess you need to prepare, I'll leave you to it." He stated as he stood and left the bedroom.

This was the messiest her room had been in her whole life. Clothes were everywhere, trash was occasionally found on the floor, and photos of her and her friends were littered about. She knew she had to clean it, but today was not the best day for it. She instead grabbed her backpack, and began putting the textbooks her parents purchased inside. She grabbed out her binder, and right before she put it in her bag, grabbed a photo of Percy and placed it in the side. Eventually, she had put all her school supplies in the bag and was ready to go. She laid down on her bed and stared at the ceiling. Is this what her life has become? All the days felt the same. she had to put a stop to this. The next morning she got up, and instead of just sitting, she brushed her teeth and got breakfast. Her family was surprised to see her, as she hadn't left her room in quite a bit. She sat in silence as she ate her breakfast. Today she even made herself wear an outfit. Though it was simple, it was a big step. It consisted of one of Percy's hoodies, and some jeans. During breakfast, she had noticed they were out of bread, so she even took a small trip to the grocery store.

-the best time skip you've ever seen-

Finally, it was the first day of school, Annabeth had forced herself to wake up on time so she wouldn't be late. She knew this behavior would wear off, but she might as well try. She ate some toast using the new bread she bought, and waited for the bus. She noticed there was a kid standing next to her, but she didn't want to talk to them. You wouldn't either if you had forced yourself to wake up 3 hours earlier than normal. The bus eventually arrived, and she managed to find a seat with no one in it. She made sure she had everything. Her dagger - Check, her binder - Check, her books - Check. She continued this process until she was sure she had everything. By the time she was done, the bus arrived at the school. She looked at the sign, it read: "Have a great day Francisco Flowers" with light green letters,  "Wow. Such a creative name for students." She said to herself, her voice dripping with sarcasm. She noticed a girl, with a bright pink mini skirt on. And another wearing an outfit similar to the first. She already hated the place.

That thought was seconded as she walked inside. The halls had green stripes all around, giving her an immediate headache. She walked to what she expected was the office, and was correct. And asked for her schedule, upon inspection, she found that she had english first. This was day gonna be terrible.
