-time skip bc I'm bad at writing school stuff-

Annabeth had made it to the end of the day. She sat patiently and looked at the clock. Time felt slow today, the day dragged on bit by bit. But finally, after quite a lot of waiting, the bell rang. As she walked to the main doors, she picked through the day. In English, she was announced as the new student for the year, and she noticed what she would guess was the popular girls, sending her weird looks. Then during math, some jock sat beside her. He kept trying to talk to her, but she ignored him. She didn't enjoy annoying kids like him. At one point he tried to steal her worksheet, causing her to grab it back and send him one of her glares. He immediately dropped it and looked away, though this didn't stop him from asking her out. She almost punched him, but instead she said no and paid her full attention to the teacher. She ignored him for the rest of class. Lunch wasn't as bad as she expected, though it was still not the best. She noticed an empty table, and took her seat there. Another girl came and sat with her. Her name was Maggie. They made some small talk, and Annabeth even thought she made a friend. But halfway through lunch, she left saying her friends wanted her to sit with them. So Annabeth was left alone. The rest of the classes were uneventful, she liked that.

As she tried to step through the door, one of the "popular" girls stopped her. Annabeth recognized her as Layla. (no offense to any Laylas out there <3) "Hey, Anniebell right?" Annabeth didn't have the energy to correct her. "What do you need?" She responded with a bored tone. "Well, I need you to stop flirting with my boyfriend." She said as she sent an obviously fake smile. Annabeth rolled her eyes to this statement. "First of all, he was flirting with me. I ignored him. Second of all, there's no need to be worried about me stealing him, as I have no interest in dating anyone." Annabeth felt like Persassy as she listed off the reasons for this girl to leave her alone. "There's no need to be rude about it "Anniebell"." Layla said with a tone that sounded like an attempt to give attitude, but it not working. Annabeth had enough, she walked straight past Layla and waited at the bus stop. She just wanted this day to end. "After this, you can just go home and rest." She told herself. After a couple more minutes, the bus arrived and Annabeth made it home.

As she walked through the front door, the twins asked her how her day was. "It could've been worse." She stated as she quickly made her way to her room. She ran in and shut the door. The energy to act normal long gone. She sat down and let herself cry. She just wanted to be with him. Why did life have to be so unfair? If he were here, he would joke around and make her feel better with no issue, but now that he was gone, nothing could cheer her up.

A/N: I'm sorry about these shorter chapters,  most chapters don't merge well together so I keep making more. Other than that, I hope you have a great day and please add some feedback! (Btw, this chapter has 588 words!)
