A Date With Ethan Nestor

The Winner Part 2 (ethans pov)

As the stream ends I feel nervous. I know the winner was picked at random but I did some research and the girl who won is actually really pretty. I'm kind of excited!

I log into Twitter and scroll through all my notifications before finally going to Riley's account and hitting the message icon.

"Hey! It's Ethan -
I pause. Isn't that already obvious. She's probably been waiting this whole time she knows who it is. Wait why am I getting a worked up about what I'm gonna say?

Anyway as I was saying,
Ethan: "Hey Riley! I'm having you flown out for a week! Congrats on winning the contest. Once you get here I'll also have you put up in a hotel so you're most comfortable! Lmk where you live so I can get the proper ticket and you can get out here as soon as possible!"

I sit for a couple minutes after sending the message and wait for her to respond. A few more minutes go by and my phone dings.

Riley: "I actually live in Santa Monica so I can make the drive so I'll only need the hotel! Less money for you to spend lol I'm really excited for this thank you for giving me the opportunity to do something like this! I've always wanted to visit la :)"

Ethan: "great! I can't wait to meet you! What day would you be coming so I can set up the hotel? "

Riley: "I can come Saturday! I've already taken off work because I need to use vacation days anyway so you can just let me know the details of the hotel on Saturday night! I'm excited to meet you as well!"

Ethan: "sounds good! Have a good night! "

I put my phone down and sit for a minute, and Spencer's comes over to say hi.
"Hey buddy, what's up?"
Is say in a baby voice and pet him happily. He wags his tail and I find myself smiling, thinking about Riley. I really am excited to meet her, she seems super sweet.

It's only Thursday night so she'll be here in a day and a half! I can't wait.
