A Date With Ethan Nestor

The Winner (part three) Riley's POV

Oh. My. God. I finally got the message from Ethan. He's so super sweet and I'm so excited to see him! I think I'm going to message him back tomorrow to ask if he'll meet me at the hotel once I get settled and if he wants to get dinner on my first night.

I'm not sure if the hotel has a restaurant but I'm sure we can find a place, or he can even show me a place he likes there local!

I get ready for bed, patting my leg and my cat follows me to my room.
"Cmon bub, bed time! "
He meows and runs after me as I climb the steps and open my room for him to go in first. We get settled into bed and finally fall asleep after watching YouTube for an hour or two.

~the next morning~

I wake up around 10:30am and my cat is nowhere to be seen. Probably eating. I get up and start getting ready for work, taking my phone off the charger and opening Twitter. I scroll for a while and then finally work up the courage to message Ethan.

Riley-
Hey! This may be a weird request but would you want to meet me at the hotel tomorrow when I get there? Maybe we can get something to eat! You could show me your fave place to go in LA. :)

I stand in the bathroom, nervously waiting for an answer, looking at myself in the mirror and fixing my long red hair. I look okay today, for only going to work.

I hear my phone ding and look down, but it's only a Snapchat from my friend Cassie. I open it and it's a video of her screaming.

"Oh my god Riley!! You won!! I'm so happy for you! I watched the stream and when he said your name I almost threw my phone. " the video ends with her almost falling over in excitement. I laugh and send her back a picture with a caption that reads
"I know 🥺 I'm so excited, I make the drive tomorrow night"

My phone dings again. It's Ethan.

Ethan-
Hey good morning! Yeah of course I would love to! What time do you think you'll get there so I can make sure to be there? Here is the details of the hotel by the way! "
He sends a screenshot of all the details and my room number and for how long my stay is.

Riley-
"Great! I'll probably be getting there around 5pm since I get off at 2:30 from work. Also thank you again for setting up the hotel for me! I'm really excited:)"

Ethan-
"Okay perfect. I should be finishing up my editing around 4 so that works out. I'm excited as well, I'll see you tomorrow! "

Riley-
"See you tomorrow! :)"

My phone randomly starts going off like crazy a couple minutes after the conversation ends. I'm getting tagged in tweets from my mutuals congratulating me on winning.

@/unuseef - "omg oomf got chosen for the date with Ethan! I'm so happy for you!"

@/eefinnestor - "Riley! Yes you won! So happy /gen"

@/punkusannus - "okay stop guys oomf won the contest! I just know she's bursting omg omg "

@/crankycrew6 - " babes look at you! I yELLED when he announced your @ 🥲"

I'm so lucky to have such nice friends online. People that I know support me no matter what.

I run downstairs and skip into the living room where Amber is laying on the couch playing on her phone.

"Sooooo guess what!"
I say, beaming and swaying back and forth on my tip toes.

She looks up from her phone,
"What's that?"
"I won. I won the contest. "
She puts her phone down and sits up, looking at me with her mouth gaping open. I jump up and down so much I scare one of the cats, sending her running.

"Oh my god dude! I can't believe you did it! So how does it work? Do you have all the details?"

I smile and sit next to her, pulling out my phone so she can read the messages we've sent each other. She takes it and scrolls, slapping her hand over her mouth.

"You asked him to dinner?! Look at you, putting yourself out there. I know I've been a little cynical about it but... oh I'm so excited for you! So you leave tomorrow? You're leaving me for a week??"

I laugh loudly and nod,
"I know I'm sorryyyy but I do need to use up those vacation days. So yes. I'm gonna be gone for a week and I leave tomorrow night after I get off work."

She nods and lays back down.
"Well I'm happy for you. And who knows maybe this might lead to something more? "
Wiggling her eyebrows suggestively and goes back to her phone.

"Honestly I hope so. It's a whole week, you never know!"

I laugh and grab my bag as head out the door for work.
