imagine #8 - youngest avenger

One day Director Fury showed up at the avenger's tower with you in hand and told stark that you were the newest avenger. Fury handed stark your file to look through and your file was bare at least. All it contained was a picture of you, your first name, and your last initial. He was kind of mad that you were pushed onto him and he knew nothing about you. You are quiet and shy. You have a small build and look like you could easily be intimidated but you have a poker face. You let your long hair flow down your back because it makes it easier to hide your face. You have one green eye and 1 blue eye.

At avengers meeting

"So what is your name?" Steve questioned politely

"y/n" you say in barely a whisper

"do you know why you are an avenger because I don't think that it is fair that you were just dropped on us." Natasha harshly spits out

You - I'm sorry, I don't know why I was brought here.

Wanda kicks Nat's leg under the table

"well anyways, its nice to meet to you." Wanda says nicely

The past week you have been getting up at 4 am to train because Bucky and Steve wake up at 6 am to train. You train early in the morning so no one sees you. Everybody on the team had been talking about why you are an avenger because you seem so small and weak. One day Steve woke up earlier to get in extra training but when he arrived he sees you going training. You are going through the hand-to-hand combat course and you are amazing at it. When you finish you didn't realize that Steve was watching you until you turned around and saw them stating at you. " Fuck " you whisper to yourself. Steve walked up to the machine to see your score on the course. "What the hell, you beat everyone's score," Steve said astonished. " look can we just forget that happened. " you said. " you owe me an explanation first" Steve announced.

" fine just give me 20 minutes to get cleaned up then I'll explain. Meet me in my room then. Okay?" you agreed

"okay" Steve replied before leaving you to get cleaned up and ready

You are standing in the shower as the hot droplets of water are rolling off you, your mind is racing. What if tells the team what he saw? What if he hates me after I tell him? What if he tells the team what I tell him? You get dried off and into regular clothes. You do your hair in French braids and do a little makeup. You do a basic gold shimmer eyeshadow with black mascara and your clothes were black leggings and a black sweatshirt with red roses on it.

you hear a knock on your door and you let Steve in. You sit down on your bed and Steve sits next to you. You explain how you were abandoned as a young kid and that fury took you in. You also explained that Bucky was your mission and that he was the real reason fury had you become an avenger. Your mission was to find out if Bucky could ever turn back into the winter soldier and find out some of Bucky's and the winter soldiers' weaknesses. You told Steve about how you were trained since 10 years old. Steve asked if Tony knew and you replied with no which was the truth.

You - look you can't tell anyone ok?

Steve - got it.

The next morning a meeting was called.

You were sitting in your room when the meeting was called.

There was a mission of bombs placed. Everyone had to go, including you.

"She is weak, she will either die or get others killed. She doesn't even know how to fight." Tony argued. You really wanted to punch him but decided against it.

" I can handle myself tony." you spoke quietly but confidently.

Tony - if you want to go then you have to spar Bucky and win. * he thought that you didn't know how to fight and that you would lose *.

"you know what? Fine! Let's go" you said pissed off and annoyed because tony didn't think you could handle it. You didn't want to hurt Bucky while sparring so you took a few deep breaths to calm yourself down. If they didn't think you could handle yourself because of your looks then you will show them.

In the training room

You were standing across from Bucky. You were in black leggings and a dark gray sports bra with black lining.

"you don't have to do this, you know" Bucky partly asked and partly told you." You found this kind of amusing that he thought he would hurt you. He had no chance against you, not that he knew that.

" 3. 2. 1. Spar" Natasha yelled out as a signal for you to to start.

You let Bucky go for the 1st hit. As he goes to punch you, you catch his fist. The team that was watching let out audible gasps because they didn't know you could do that. Bucky was clearly surprised but quickly regained his footing. He kicked you back and you went flying but flipped and landing on your feet.

This Surprised everyone again. You went to kick him but he caught your foot but before he could do anything you kicked upwards causing him to land on his back and you on top. You pinned his arms down. Tony was so confused about how you just beat the winter soldier.

You turned to look at the team with a smirk on your face and say

" Guess I'm cleared for the mission then ".

You offer your hand to the surprised Bucky. He accepts your hand.

"well then, let's go" Bucky announced.

Tony just stood there shocked. You knew you would have to explain everything eventually but first you had a mission to complete.
