"Ah, Aone! Sorry for running into you!" A petite, purple-haired girl untangled herself from your boyfriend, bowing apologetically. "It's my fault for not looking up." Aone tipped his head, his way of saying it was ok, and she smiled. They really fit the tall/small aesthetic... wait am I jealous? It's not about her talking to him, but like... I kinda wanna be her... The white-haired boy noticed you, and nodded a goodbye before lumbering over to you. "Hello... (Y/n)..." He sounded happy. "I... would like to... walk you to class?" You smiled, shoving your insecurities as far down as you could before taking his hand in yours. "I'd love that."
As you walked, you talked about how it seemed spring break was approaching fast. "So anyway, I was thinking, what if we went to the beach together?" Aone paused, thinking for a second. "I... would to go with you." Ahh, nothing slaps quite like a beach ova :) You grinned, "It's a plan, then!" As he walked down the corridor, you noticed the purple-haired girl again. Wow, she really is small... skinny too... She waved at Aone as she closed her locker. You tore your gaze off them and marched into the classroom. "I'M A GOD AND I'M NOT JEALOUS!" Used to your outbursts, the class ignored you as you flopped into the seat by the window. I'm not... jealous.
"Y/n... Y/N YOU DUMB HOE WAKE UP!" You jumped in your seat, noticing the teacher was glaring at you. "Wh- What's up?" You smiled feebly. "Since you're so keen to laze around in class, go drop these books off at class 3-B with those noodle arms of yours." You were escorted out to the hallway, where a comically large stack of books sat. "...Guess I'll make three trips... maybe five?" Hefting 1/3 of the stack, you realized you couldn't see where you were walking as you turned.
"Y/n?" The familiar husky voice clicked, and you cried a little. Tears of joy, of course. "Aone! Am I glad to see you or what?!" You turned to the side to see him picking up the remaining books with ease. "Thank youuu~ I don't know what I'd do without you!" He nodded, taking a few off your stack as well. Leading the way down the hall, you laughed about this or that as he nodded supportively. "Anyway, we're here, thanks for the help teddybear!" He averted his eyes shyly, shifting from foot to foot. Leaning down, a soft kiss was pressed to your forehead before he padded away, leaving you deadpanning after him. "S-See you tomorrow!" Geez, I might have an aneurysm next time.
"Y/N YOU STINKY MF GeT uP iTS mOrNiNg" You groaned, waking up to the wonderful melody of author's screaming. "I'm up, I'm up-" DATE DAYYYY!!! Ooh I didn't pick out clothes yet! Let's see uhhh
Here are my thoughts: pastel strawberry dress, ripped jeans and a t-shirt, a flared sleeve dress shirt and a corset, leggings and an oversized hoodie, short printed skirts, and/or cardigans. What would you wear?
Putting on your favorite clothes, you spun around before accidentally walking into the closed door and almost dying. A buzz caught your attention, and you checked your phone to see a message. "Hey y/n, I'm here to pick you up. Ah, but you don't have to rush or anything, just wanted to let you know I'm outside. I'm not pressuring you am I? Oh, I wrote a lot. You make me nervous, that's all. It's like, there's butterflies in my stomach and my face is hot... I want to see you, but take your time!" Man's writing his doctoral thesis on you, ain't he? You clattered down the stairs, inhaling breakfast and taking a deep breath before opening the door.
"You look... SO COOL!" Aone rarely wore casual clothes aside from t-shirts and shorts, so seeing him dressed up was a showstopper. "Y/n, you look beautiful." Ah, I think my heart just skipped a beat- He hid his blush with a hand, offering the other to you. Taking it, you felt a giddy feeling rise in your chest. "Shall we go?"
"Yes."
...
"...So it's raining." You peeked out from under the awning of a convenience store. "It's coming down really hard too." The rain was pretty and all, but it would have been prettier if it hadn't soaked through your plans. "Hey Aone, I think it'll be fun to be flexible with this. Let's just go where the wind takes us, now?" He nodded, placing the beach things in a coin locker before buying a large umbrella and taking your hand again. "Let's go." You stepped out and walked towards the downtown area, where there was plenty to do and less people due to the weather. "Ooh, that bookstore looks antique, I bet they have cool things!" Opening the weathered door, a gust of warm air blew onto your face, warming your slightly chilled hands. A fire was crackling in the hearth, and several armchairs and couches were surrounded by piles of books and eccentric antiques.
"Welcome to Le Petite Chat, bookstore and cafe." A lady with a tray of tea came around the corner, effortlessly dodging the books across the floor. "Wow, it's really cold outside. Would you two like a cup?" You nodded gratefully, letting the warm china ease away the tension in your hands. "This is more of a casual type setting, so do whatever you like, and ring the bell if you need me!" With that, she disappeared into the shelves, leaving you standing in the middle of the room. Perching on a couch, the material seemed to sink, drawing you into a hole of cushions. Aone sat across from you, setting down the tea and reaching towards a book. Picking up one from beside you, beautiful illustrations of flowers danced across the pages, each with a description of where to find it within the city.
Hours passed as you both read, at one point shifting places and sitting back to back on a clump of blankets. Your fourth cup of tea sat, cooling, on the table as your eyelids began to close. This is... such a nice date...
...time skip to when you wake up
You woke up in your own bed with a start. "Sorry for falling asleep- Huh?" It was morning, and the light was just peeking through your blinds. The clock read 5:30 am, and you were under the covers. IT WAS ALL A DREAM?! You fell out of bed in surprise, turning to the table to check your phone when you noticed it. An antique flower guide, with a small wrapped box, a letter, and a package of tea on top of it. The letter read "Dear Y/n, you fell asleep at the bookstore and the rain stopped, so I brought you home. I thought you would like this book, since it was on your lap. I also left your present, and tea from the cafe here. I had fun, and I look forward to our next date, and hundreds more in the future. Yours, Aone Takanobu."
Sighing contentedly, you opened the box. It was a silver ring, resembling a loop of ivy. He told me once, that I reminded him of the small cherry blossoms. I had laughed, saying that I wasn't that petite and pretty, but that I felt more like the ivy that persistently grew back no matter what the poor gardener did. I guess he remembered that..." Inside the box was written "I think ivy is pretty too, in an ethereal, majestic sort of way."
y'all need to stop reading so fast, I couldn't even finish a 7k before it became a 9k omg-
