Tanner's POV
I got to the compound and saw Reaper sitting at the bar drinking a beer. I didn't bother approaching him. I knew from the roses I saw on the counter, that I didn't pay attention too until I woke up this morning, that he saw my sister as more than a fuck. Hell, he left last night without fucking her. The walls were thin so no matter how quiet they were, I would have heard something. But I didn't. The most important thing was that my sister was smiling as she looked at the roses as she drank her coffee this morning. Of course being the older brother that I am, I had to give her shit for being with him, but it was all teases. It's clear she's his woman, and I hope they make each other happy. He gave me a simple nod before leaving to go towards Viper's office.
I wasn't stupid enough though to spread it around the MC. That's their business, others will find out over time. I had just grabbed a beer when Ice approached me. "No sister today Ranger," he asked with a smirk and I felt instant anger towards him. He was a piece of shit who's done nothing but give me crap ever since I was patched in. "I have to admit, she's a fine piece of ass. I wonder how good she rides." I clenched my jaw, "Watch yourself Ice, the wrong person is going to hear you and you're going to regret it." He scoffed, "What the fuck is that supposed to mean?" "It means she belongs to one of our brothers," I said. "And when they kick your ass, I'm gonna get it all on recording to watch for enjoyment when I feel like."
I took a drink of my beer as he looked around the room, as if waiting to see if they would reveal themselves. Viper then called Church.
"We got another big job coming up. We're running another transport for Mr. Murkel. This one is bigger than the last, and pays a lot more. We're suspecting party crashers so we're going to have two teams. One is the diversion team, while the other does the job we're being paid to do," he said to us. "Iron Cross and Blood Hound can definitely be expected. They've been keeping close eyes on us and other MCs, trying to figure out who's been taking out their Fairy Dust deals. They may want a piece of what we're getting to make up for some of the money they've lost. So be on the look out."
He then discussed the details of the job with us. It would be taking place tomorrow.
"That's one hell of a job," Wrath commented. "Is it smart to break us up?" "It'll force them to break up their own numbers," Crusher said and Viper nodded. "Your informant got any details for us to help," I asked him. "They're looking into something else for me," he replied with a shake of his head.
He then shared which teams were doing what and who was on the teams. The job will be taking place tomorrow and we best come prepared for shit to go wrong if shit went south.
I was on the team doing the actual transport job, all of us having coms units in our ear to allow wireless communication without having traceable cell phones on us. I already informed Anna-Lee I was going to be out of reach for a bit, and she promised she was going to stay at home.
The location we were transporting the truck too was in the middle of nowhere, nothing but open fields, meaning no one can pop up out of no where and start firing at us. Murkel was already waiting for us. We managed to get here without issue and I didn't know if that was a blessing or not. "You Hell Bound Riders do good work," Murkel said with a nod. He handed Reaper a couple bags and Reaper confirmed it was our payment. It was a hell of a lot of money, but given the shit Murkel deals with, he's got plenty of it to spare.
Once the trade was complete, we began to make our way back. We got stopped by a Iron Cross and Blood Hound road block once we started to pass the forest that surrounded the town. "Give us the money and you won't get hurt," one of the Iron Cross members said. They outnumbered us, by a lot. No way in hell were we going to give them the money without a fight though.
"I don't have a clear shot," Wrath said in the coms unit. He was one of the snipers we had scattered about the way to watch for followers. "Too many damn trees."
They planned this. The trees blocked us on either side from splitting up. We were out manned, out gunned, and not very many options.
They aimed their guns at us, but suddenly four of their men had a single bullet piercing through their skulls. None of us heard the sound of firing.
Another bullet went through another three.
"Holy shit," Wrath said in the coms. There was a break in their wall and we shot through it, getting the hell out of their while they deal with their confusion. I glanced in my rearview and saw whoever was sniping them, was keeping them from following us. Holy shit did I not want to meet that person.
Reaper's POV
After dropping off the cash, I texted Anna-Lee to meet me at the hotel. I wasn't here to fuck. I was here for answers. She came in wearing black and gray camo clothes, her hair up in a bun meant to keep all strands secure to ensure no DNA gets left behind. She didn't bother changing because she knew I knew. "How long have you been Viper's informant," I asked once she shut the door. "Before Rebel Angels made their visit during the game. It was how he knew what he did," she answered. "How did you get all the information that you have gathered," I asked her next. "Drunk guys like talking to pretty women," she said to me. "Especially when they want to have sex with them. Before you ask, no I didn't have sex with anyone after we got together." That was good to fucking know.
"Does Ranger know," I asked her. She shook her head, "If he knows, he hasn't spoken up." "What was the job Viper had you do tonight," I asked her. "There was a Fairy Dust shipment that was supposed to move out earlier tonight." Was. Meaning she stopped it. "I dropped it off at the incinerator after I helped you guys tonight. Every job you guys have been on, I shadowed, ensuring nothing went wrong. Even jobs that only you were working."
I didn't know what to say. "No Viper doesn't know I've been shadowing you. He doesn't even know I went and helped you guys tonight. I acted on my own." She looked down at her black military boots, "I'm not cut out for a normal fucking life. This was what I was trained to do, and it's all I know. If you're pissed off, I get it. I kept it from you. But I swear, I won't anymore. I also stopped using sex to gather information, because I'm yours."
Yeah she was mine. Fucked up like I was through and through. But that was okay with me. I pulled her to me, kissing her roughly. She seemed thrown off at first but then she kissed me back. "I don't care if you work in the shadows," I said to her. "I get it sweetheart. Neither of us are cut out for a normal fucking life. If it gets too dangerous or you suspect they're catching on to you, then pull out." She nodded, "Okay." I kissed her again, this time hungrily.
We rid each other of clothes quickly before we were on the bed. My lips eagerly marked her skin as her nails dug into my back. We fucked the only way we knew how, rough with no holds barred.
By the end of it, we laid there breathless with her head on my chest, my arms around her. I kissed her head, "Just be careful." "As careful as I can be," she promised. We then fell asleep, my mind only on thoughts of her.
