Cloaked in darkness I ran

I ran through the halls of stone walls and marble tile filling the palace with a cold feeling dreaded with mystery

As I ran the wall of mirrors grabbed a hold of my mind as I saw my reflection of fear staring back at me

But I couldn't let my fear get to me, not now, this was the moment I was breaking free of this royal blooded acre

I opened the grand door to the north stairwell leading me to the entrance of the western towers courtyard where I would swing the rope down and tie it to the sword that had been drilled into the stone alley. This would secure my weight when climbing down the walls to the garden

"I pronounce you Queen of Rosanna"

I could hear the words the ceremony announcer would say before me while placing the crown on my head

Everyone would arrive no earlier than eleven o'clock

It was already nearly dawn, the sun would be coming up in about an hour and I wanted to make it to my first checkpoint before lunch

I tied the rope to the sword, threw it down, tied my suitcase with a smaller rope to it and grabbed a hold of it.

I jumped and held on for dear life even though the speed of my lowering wasn't very fast

Quickly I set the rope to fire where it would burn leaving no trace of my escape.

I watched it, I watched the ashes fall to the ground where I lay adrenaline rushing through me like water running in the river

When my evidence was finally gone I ran, I ran faster than I would run to the carriage every holiday to bring me somewhere outside the castle. But I never made it, it was always gone. My shoes would be full of dirt and out of breath i'd be.

Not this time.

This time I was outside the castle gates in no time and halfway through the Hyland fields where the gardenia flowers grew. The only spot in all of Rosanna where they would bloom.

Dawn.

Sunrise.

A storm arrived clouding the sun and filling the sky in darkness, then the pouring rain came down

At last, I found the checkpoint village but at this point, how am I supposed to find somewhere to stay in the rain.

"Keep walking Eden" I told myself

"It will all be worth it"

Suddenly I was knocked over, on the ground looking at an unfamiliar face. His deep brown eyes gazed into mine....
