Dream's eyes, even though they can't be seen through his mask, clouded with worry and fear

He's gone through this portal hundreds of times and nothing like this has ever happened to him. Did the others have the same thing happen?

"Hello!?" He called out into the staticy darkness "Is anyone else there?!"

No one replied or gave any hint they were there, only an echo of Dream's question

He swung his head around to find something, anything, but the only thing with him was the simple question from before

"Press start?" Dream slowly reached out towards it with a painful slowness. The masked man could feel his heart beat in his chest and hear it in his ears.

He barely grazed the words before they disappeared. The static clicked off like an old box television. For a moment it was just Dream alone with his thoughts in a quiet and empty space.

It was frightening. Alone and by yourself. Whats happening? Are the others seeing the same thing? Has anyone on the SMP experienced something like this?

Then something made his insides roll over themselves, like they were trying to escape him

He was falling

Down

And down

And down

He couldn't tell which way he was falling, or if he was still in the void. It was still as dark as a new moon. No light. No nothing

Then the sky brightened ever so slightly. It calmed him. He wasn't just in the void anymore. Even though he was still falling the light relieved him when it kept getting brighter.

Then he saw the shapes of soft, fluffy clouds. That was less comforting

"HOLY SHIT I'M FALLING!" By now the roofs of buildings were making their way into Dreams view. He definitely didn't recognise anything but didn't keep watching to make sure. The masked man reached for his bucket of water that he kept in his inventory

It didnt open

His movements became more panicked and frantic. Sweat caked the inside of his mask. The side walk was now visible.

'its okay, I'll hit the ground too hard and I'll respawn.. right?' something told him that if he died he wouldn't be respawning but he tried to push it away to the back of his mind

He squeezed his eyes shut and braced for the horrific pain to come

"..." The falling sensation stopped but he kept his eyes shut incase his brain was lying to him. Even the rush of the wind had been silenced

Still nothing

After a few more moments of hesitation and fear he slowly opened his eyes.

He was laying directly in the middle of the sidewalk with his face looking at the sky. It's like when he closed his eyes it automatically stopped him from falling. The masked man slowly sat up and touched his face (or mask in this case) in amazement. He was alive! He didn't know how but he was

Now that he was safely on the ground he had the opportunity to look around.

Many of the buildings the hooded man saw looked modern, futuristic almost. People were calmly walking up and down the side walk talking to people or browsing through open shops. They didn't even question why a masked man was sitting on the side walk like it was a normal thing, although some looked at his mask and gave him fearful looks. He quickly moved it to the side of his head and pulled his hood over his head.
