The Studio

Part 1: The Start

Edward Tashlin had appeared to work the following morning, he opened the door of Joey Drew Studios and stepped through, eager for his new journey as an animator working at Joey Drew Studios. He walked through and went to Joey's office and knocked "Mr. Drew?" he questioned if Joey Drew was in his office.

"Yes?" a voice on the other side questioned. Joey Drew got up from his desk and walked over to open the door of his office.

"Morning Mister Drew! I just had a question, where will I be working? I suspect that it's the desk down this way" Edward asked pointing to Henry's desk from the locations of Joey's office. Joey Drew opened the door to his office and sae Edward pointing at a direction. Joey peaked over and he couldn't see the desk but he knew what desk Edward was talking about. "That desk belonged to a long time friend, I would like to keep his memory alive; I actually ordered some desk for today from the local shops and by your luck, they actually came in this morning. I had them set one the desks right over at the right corner of the room over here" Joey said and pointed at the large room where chairs and a projector were stationed at the left corner. Edward peaked over and saw that a desk had been situated at the right corner near the chairs and projector. He scratched his head and looked at his boss "Now Mr. Drew, I have just one more question, what are the plans for the first cartoon?".

"Well today I have plans for a new cartoon starting the little devil darlin' and a new character done by me" Joey said. "You should actually come on we have much to talk about especially with the type of direction I want to take this company" Joey said and opened the door for Edward. Edward stepped through and while he walked in, Joey Drew walked to his desk and sat down on his chair. Edward walked to the chair found in front of Joey Drew's desk and sat down looking around the same familiar worn out color of a brownish color decorating the walls, doors, and floor as he tapped his foot on the hard wooden floor of planks he looked at Joey Drew.

"Now I drew up a couple of sketches and a final design for this character of 'mine'" Joey said and from his desk he took out two pieces of paper with the drawings of Boris the wolf. Boris was tall humanoid wolf with a thin body wearing slacks and suspenders along with a pair of white gloves. The paper marked the sketch and the final Boris with ink portraying dark and lights spots but something unfamiliar was the initials of H.S. on the pieces of papers. Mister Drew handed the pieces of paper to Edward and he gladly took them and inspecting them asked: "Mister Drew, what is the meaning of the H and S found on here?" Edward questioned as he looked over at Joey.

"Mr. Tashlin questions can lead to trouble but if you must know, my first thoughts were to name the character with the letters H and S but now I decided to name them Boris the wolf instead".

Edward had suspicions that Joey Drew was lying to him but the threat at the start intimidated him so he decided to go along "Oh, alright Mr. Drew, I'm sorry for my question, I had just been curious. Now getting down to the actual cartoon, what are you thinking?" Edward asked, leaning back on his chair.

"I want the little devil darlin' and my creation, Boris up on the big screen for all to see. Show 'em the wonders that our creations down at this here studio can do. I've got here along with those sketches the storyboard ready to go and you and I, Edward, we will lead this company's future each step of the way for my- this studio to evolve along the way!" Joey exclaimed as he even jumped from his seat and leaned forward on the desk looking at Edward with a prideful expression and he spoke, his words inspired Edward.

"I'll be ready all throughout the road Mister Joey Drew" he said and smiled also jumping from his seat and clenched his fist in excitement, his eyes were wide and joyous as he exclaimed each word, moved by the speech of his boss. "Edward, just call me Joey, my friend!" he exclaimed and smiled greatly at Edward.
