Chapter 5 - Meeting the Observer

"Leader, are you sure about this?" I asked, my leader nodded. "Yes, normally I would have forbidden this, but with what you tell me of the human current status, I find that something is causing this. What would that be? Is up to debate." He said, I nodded a little, agreeing with him. "So you wish for me to keep a close eye on the human, as well as find out more about what it is that's going on?" I asked, he nodded. "Yes, now I suggest you go, time is off the essence after all. Especially since the spatial energy is on a thin line." My leader said, I nodded and left the main building, returning to my own home in the forest.

Once I got back, I grabbed my cloak like a robe and put it on to conceal my appearance. Knowing who I am is not such a good thing at a time like, especially with how things are with the leaders. Well. Mostly.

I sighed as I put up the hood, that is, until I noticed something odd. I found what seems to be a pendant like an amulet. I was confused so I picked it up, examining it for a moment, wondering what it is. However, I have never seen it before until now. I shrugged, I'll figure out more about it another day, for now I just put it away in my pocket. Then I teleported away.

I sighed, looking at Sabre who sleeps comfortably on his bed, I was glad I had managed to get him on the bed instead of just sleeping on me, like in the park. Although it would have been nicer had Kyzuki wouldn't constantly teased me so much about it. Although....I can't stopped thinking about what he said before

__Flashback__

I glared at Kyzuki who just stared at me with a smug look. "What do you want this time? You already laughed at me for having love interest for Sabre here." I said, not particularly happy. Kyzuki rolled his eyes. " I know, I know. Although, I do also want to say that I support it and all, but I'm just worried about how things will be. As of late, I haven't seen the other assistance, but he wasn't happy with the changes." He told me as he sit down on the bench.

I look at him with confusion. "What do you mean?" I asked, confused by his statement, he sighed as he looked at the water.

"Well...Lately, the other former assistance, Soran has been angry as of late. He didn't like the fact he was no longer the assistant to the Yellow King, or should I say the Yellow Leader, Kazu." Kyzuki said, I hum a little, wanting him to go on and keep explaining. He understood my meaning and kept talking. "Although, since then, Soran hasn't been...Okay as of late. He's been gone constantly for most days, but when he is around, I always keep hearing him mention something about a change. I didn't know what he meant by that, but it certainly wasn't good by the sound of it." He then said as he sighed, looking up at the sky.

I was silent. That sounds suspicious honestly, what could possibly be wrong with Soran?

"Oh and by the way Light. If you keep letting Sabre sleep on you like that, people are bound to notice and ask so many questions." I heard Kyzuki comment, I just glared at him to shut up. He did and held up his hand in defeat. "Chill, I'm just kidding, also, by the way. After you two get together, when's the wedding?" I glared at him dangerously while he smiled with mischief.

I just groaned in annoyance, I carefully picked up Sabre without waking him up, I adjusted him a little and just held him bridal style. Once I was sure he was comfortable, I walked back to the citadel and to my room. Ignoring Kyzuki teasing in the background.

Although, I blushed crimson red when I heard Kyzuki shout at me, asking when I was gonna propose to Sabre. Isn't he taking this idea way too fast?!

__End of Flashback__

I sighed once again as I looked out the window, it was turning night and much work had to be done, I looked at Sabre once more. I didn't mind the idea of marrying him, but I wanted to take this slow, for now.

Without much thought, I kissed his forehead, then covered him with the blanket and left the room, closing the lights to let him sleep. I then headed to my office...

There, I saw a cloak person, standing in the middle of the room, as if waiting.

"Hello Light Steve, I have been expecting you for quite some time."
