You're Back (Severus Snape x Reader)

Y/n Pov

You sat on the bench in the courtyard, with a drink in hand, watching the sunset. Taking a sip of the bubbly/sweet/strong refresher, you look out to the sun as you see a figure of an animal fly towards you.

An Owl. Your owl, to be specific. A Great Horned Owl with beautiful brown feathers and beady yellow eyes, a black envelope was tied to his leg with a green stamp. He porched himself on your arm as you untied the letter.

Once he was free, he flew back to your chambers. Setting the drink to the side, you unwrap the envelope which revealed a letter, it read:

Dear Y/n L/n

This letter is to inform you about the residence of your familiars. They have caused many distributions, injures, and damage to both the building and its residence.

We can no longer look after them and ask you to pick them up immediately.

Deepest Apologies,

Home for Exotic Animals.

With a sigh, you get up from the bench and head to your chambers. The animal home wasn't far away, but it did take a few hours to get there on a broom. Packing a few snacks for the ride and treats for the animals. You left a note telling the finder that you went to the Home for Exotic Animals and that you should be back before the morning.

Looking at your watch, you notice that it was 10:37, it took 2 hours to get to the animal home, so you'd get back at an estimated time of 2:00 am. Walking back to the courtyard with snacks and broom in hand, you sat on the broom and took off.

Time skip

Hopping off the broom, you make your way to the front office. There was staff in the lobby even though it was 12:00 in the morning.

"Pick up or drop off?" The man asked as he was looking through the files.

"Pick up." You said while looking around the lobby. It was a very clean place for an animal home.

"Name?" He said while still looking at his papers.

"Y/n L/n."

"Familiars Name(s)?"

"O/n (Occamy Name), Hex, Holly, Hector, and S/n (Snake Name)." You said as you picked up a pen from the table and started to spin it around.

"They'll be right out, please wait in the waiting room until they arrive." He said finally looking up from his work and pointed in the direction of the waiting room. You waited a few minutes until your name was called on the intercom.

As you pushed the door open you were met with a lick to the face from O/n, you laughed a little and pet her head. Reaching into the bag, you pulled out her favorite treat and feed her one. Doing the same for the rest as well you decided it was time to take them back to the house.

Time skip

^Your New Home^

After you outgrew the space in your old home you had to improve it some.

As you opened the gate to the ramp, you felt a tiny amount of weight fall on your shoulder. It was groot, your Bowtruckle, little squeaks came from his mouth as if he was talking. O/n and the three Runespoor lied by the trees as you went up the ramp.

Unlocking your door, you looked around to see everything exactly how you left it. Your dragon egg was still propped up in its room with pillows and heaters to keep it warm. After checking on everything you head outside to the cave next to your home, which was your bigger animal's home.

Walking into the large cave you watch as all your familiar's fall asleep, but who could blame them it was a two-hour trip with no breaks. Looking down at your watch once more, you noticed it was 3:08 and decided to head back to the school. As you placed Groot back on the tree you grabbed your broom and flew back to the school.

Entering the building, you basically sleep-walk to your chambers. Once you got there, you flopped on the bed and did a spell that locked the door and changed your outfit to pajamas. While crawling under the covers, you noticed a letter on your nightstand, picking up the beige envelope and opening it, it read:

Dear N/n

I hope this letter finds you well, but I have one request,

Would you like to go to have butterbeer sometime soon?
