No One's POV:

"Y/n L/n," Y/n stated proudly.

"How long have you been living here Mx. L/n?"

"6 years and counting."

"Do you plan on moving somewhere safer? I could provide you a home with a caring family," He said while taking a sip of his herbal tea.

"Like I've said before I'm ok here and I don't need a family," The child said, slowly getting angry with the conversation. Albus took note of the change of tone and decided to change the subject.

"I would like to ask you a few questions if that's alright with you."

"Go ahead," They replied.

"Why are you here?"

"Personal reasons."

"How old are you?"

"12."

"How did you learn magic?" 

"From the creatures around me, are we almost done?" The child said as they took a sip of their tea.

"One more, I know you don't want to, but would you reconsider coming to my academy?"

"How long will I have to be there?"

"Until your 7th year, but I won't force you to stay."

They sat there, deciding if they should take this odd man's offer. Nodding their head softly, they rose from their chair.

"I'll take your offer, but I get to come here whenever I want and I want to take my familiars with me," They stated firmly.

"Then we should get going, we'll have to sort you into your house and get your wand and robes." He says as he heads towards the door leaving the treehouse with the small child following him.

"House?" The smaller person said with a questioning tone.

"Yes, a house."

As the child walked behind Albus they realized they wouldn't be alone anymore. Yes, the animals and creatures of the forest were there, but they sometimes wondered what being hugged was like and having a person to be there for them. And they would finally have that.

Or so they thought.
