i don't know why i just realized .. but being in the car with alexandra made me realize who serena was talking to.

it was blake. obviously it was blake. how did i not know before? she literally told me before. how could i be so dumb earlier to not realize?

i spoke up as alexandra was driving, "we're blake and serena a thing?" i asked her.
"ask her yourself. i'm not gonna be the one to tell you that." she responded. so basically this means yes? or maybe it's just more complicated than i thought.

whatever. i decided just not to say anything back. instead i unlocked my phone and texted serena.

oops. i always forget to change her name on messages. whenever i got her number she was still "serena cyr".

quite a while after me and ryland stopped texting, i was on my phone, in my room, on my bed.. when kio decided to walk in. he saw me just laying there on my phone, i knew it was him but i didn't look up at him.

"im going out and i wont be back until like.. probbaly one, but just stay home and don't go anywhere, okay?" kio said.
who does he think he is?
i didn't respond and just rolled my eyes at him while still looking at my phone. he saw but he didn't say anything.
"bye serena." he said before he closed the door and left.
at least he said bye.

i just continued to be on my phone when now my door opened again. i looked up to see who it was and it was my mom this time.

"i heard kio yelling at you this morning. i told him to leave you alone about ryland." she explained and i looked up at her confused. "i know you've liked ryland for a long time, and i know he's a good kid." she says.
yeah, super good.
i just sighed in response.

"can you tell kio to back off?! everything i do, he messes it up and yells at me about it! i can't do one thing without him being soo overprotective over me." i complained.
"yeah, but he's your brother. he's gonna be like that. but he loves you, serena. he's a good brother, he doesn't want you to get hurt." she explained to me.
"i know.. bu-" i was saying but then we got cut off by the door bell ringing.
"i'll get it." mom said as she left the room to go to the front door.

while she was gone i just was laying there and looking at the ceiling. a few minutes later, my door opened again. i thought it was gonna be mom again but it was actually ryland.. with flowers in his hand. he stepped inside the room and closed the door behind him.

i immediately jumped up from my bed and walked up to him.
"rylanddd" i whined surprisingly as i went and hugged him. he let out a slight laugh before hugging me back. 

after a few seconds we pulled away from the hug and looked at eachother.

".. so.. i didn't really know what flowers you liked.. so i just got you like colorful roses, because.. i don't know.. they just reminded me of you." he explained and i smiled.
"reminded you of me how? do i look like a flower?" i joked.

"well.. no-  but. you're just all happy all the time and i don't know.. i just felt like you would like them.." he replied and i smiled at him. i am definitely not all happy all the time.. but i'll take it.

it doesn't feel like it was this morning that i last saw him, it feels like it was last week or something.

he held his hand out for me to grab the flowers, and i took them from him happily. i should go put them in a vase tho .. so they don't die.

i took rylands hand and lead him to the kitchen. i'm so happy right now i'll scream.
