Chapter 3

Ben got home and plopped on his sofa he was worn out yeah from work, but mostly from his mind it was running on a 100 all day kept replaying the kiss between him and Miranda and how it made his body react. He had to take two cold showers that night one when he got home and one in the middle of the night. He had woke up groaning he  was so hard it was proving to be very uncomfortable after his shower he turned on his TV putting on some old football games to keep his mind off the intimate moment he shared with his best friend.

*knock knock*
Ben heard someone knock on his door so he got up from his sofa to answer it. It wasn't super late, but yet again it was late enough for any  unexpected guess. Ben got to his door and opened it to see his brother Curt standing in his doorway.
"Curt what the hell are you doing here do you know what time it is." Ben said looking at his watch and back at his brother smiling like a complete fool.

"Chill out grandpa it's only 9:30 at night. So when we're you gonna tell me that you and Ole home girl finally got together." Curt said to Ben as he pushed his way into the house patting ben on his back.

"Curt what the hell are you talking about" Ben asked his brother as he closed and locked his door following him into the living room. "Moms said that you are  supposedly post to be bringing  your girlfriend Miranda to Angela's engagement party and the only Miranda I have ever heard you talk about was your best friend that you are secretly in love with so I was, like finally Benji had finally maned up and made a move, but then I was like dang why the hell did he not tell me. Benji tells me everything so either it is scam him and his best friend cooked up or maybe you just didn't want to tell me the biggest change in your life. But I knew that couldn't be it so what's really going on Benji." Curt  said ploping down on his brother's sofa crossing his legs and staring at Ben.

"First of I am not secretly in love with Miranda she is my best friend  I mean don't get me wrong  she is extremely beautiful and intelligent. I would be  soo lucky and blessed for a women as amazing as she is  to go out with a guy like me. She is just my best friend there's nothing going on there, and we'll dad was on his usual BS talking about yeah its always nice to see your kids finally settling down and giving up the bachelor life style and I proceeded to tell him I wasn't in the bachelor life style. So he took that  and  ran with it asuming and asking what's the name to my lady friend and before I could think I blurted out Miranda's name." Ben said going into his kitchen grabbing some beers for him and Curt.

"Soo from what you told me about Miranda I just know that this didn't just sit too well with her, and  I know you had to do alot of making up for it" Curt said reaching for his beer as Ben came back into the room to sit beside him.

"Well actually the funny thing about it is that she needed me for the exact reason I guess her mother was giving her just as much trouble as dad was giving me so we are going to the engagement party then next weekend. We our flying down to her parents house for her dad's retirement party and just to vist" Ben explained sipping on his beer.

"So your telling me that it so happen at the same time yall need each other to play yalls fake significant other. Haha that something crazy right there  I'm intrigued to see how all this will come to about " Curt said laughing taking a swig of his beer causing Ben to make face at his statement.

"Intrigued about how what will come about?"

"This whole scam you and Miranda have cooked up yall are playing with fire on this one, and yall both know it too because I bet yall did a practice kiss that almost got out of hand so that yall would be prepared in case yalls family asked yall too. Ben eyes widden up and he almost choked on his beer. Yup thought so. So you two love sick morons decided this plan was gonna be a good idea knowing yall secretly are in love with each other haven't yall  seen these types of movies on tv" Curt said shaking his head chuckling a little making Ben roll his eyes.
