I woke up as I was lifted into the SUV. Strong hands guided me to my seat and fastened my seatbelt. As I curled up for the ride, I wondered if this was a start to a better life. As soon as the car started moving, I was bombarded with voices from every seat. I started to observe everybody in the car, and tried to figure out their name. The boy driving was wearing a bandana, it looked really cool.

The youngest boy was on his phone talking quietly. I wondered who he's calling. He finished the call and said, "Yo, Cam. I called Shawn and Jacob and told them what happened." The oldest boy, the one I knew as Cam, replied, "K, Hayes. What about Brent?" Another boy named Nashley, (Nashley? Who names their kid Nashley?) answered, "I thought he was going to the skate park. But you can call him."

Cam took his phone out of his pocket and dialed a number. He waited until someone picked up in the other end. "Hey, Brent. Get your lazy butt over to the house right now. It's important. Hayes is calling you with the info." Cam ended the call, and put his phone away. I gave up on trying to figure out who was who, and closed my eyes contentedly, leaning my head on the shoulder of the guy on my right. And that's the last thing I remember.
