I'll listen to whats meant to evoke emotion
I'll burn my forearms with scalding tap
where you can see the bloodlines
even if they're still tender
three days later
even if i can still remember what it feels like
three years from now
veins painted on with watercolour strokes
sketched with multicoloured pens or
traced with basic highlighters
gone now
to the heat of the water
and the memory of how it felt
