Chapter 7

𝐉𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐎𝐕

Chae passed out and we set up a tent so that the medical help could tend to him.

We were all just resting, but were definitely anxious.

"Who set up the glacier anyways? That was genius." Chan Hyung said.

"Chae did, he was the one who told me to tell everyone to move out." I explained and he nodded.

I was just looking around to make sure no one else was extremely hurt when I noticed Jeongin looked kinda nervous.

"Hey, Jeongin-ah, you okay?" I asked him and he nodded.

"It's just, well......" he started and everyone crowded around him, "well, Chae Hyung."

"Chae is going to be okay." Changbin said.

"No! It's not that it's that, Chae Hyung is not Chae Hyung." he blurted out.

"What?" I asked, confused.

"Chae Hyung is Chaeyeon Noona!" he shouted and I'm sure everyone heard. He immediately covered his mouth and the doctor came out.

"He's right." a girl's voice said and everyone turned the direction of the voice.

We saw Chae- I mean Chaeyeon standing there with her hair down and her head down.

"Yes, I'm a Girl." she said with her head down.

"She must leave! She is dishonoring this country!" Mr. Park said.

"But-" I was about to say something.

"No buts Jisung, we have to leave her here." Mr. Park said sternly and I looked at the other guys. They all looked confused and sad. I looked at Chaeyeon and she still had her head down.

"Just go, I shouldn't have done this anyway." she said.

"You heard her, let's move out!" Mr. Park said and I nodded.

I was only left with my horse, Chaeri, my stuff, and a tent that was covered in snow.

I just rested on a rock with Chaeri, which I would probably stay on since they left me here to die.

I was half awake when I heard someone say, "So, you are a girl."

I stood up and saw the shapeshifting witch.

"You are the person who tried to stop those men which I ally with, yet those bastards left you here to die," she said as she walked closer to me. "just because you are a girl."

"We are far from death and defeat. Sure, we lost people, but our strongest men are still here." she said and the other invaders walked behind her.

I took grip of my sword and got ready to fight.

"Now, now, settle down. We want you to join us. Mr. Alastor and his men believe that girls, just like you and I, should be respected." she said and held out her hand. I saw Alastor smirking and shuttered in disgust.

"What makes you think they will always respect you? What will happen to you if they are able to take over the throne? Did they ever tell you that?" I asked her and she went silent.

"Exactly." I said, hopped on my horse, and immediately went to the main city to find the guys to warn them.

I got to the city and immediately started looking for them.

I saw them and immediately went to them.

"Jisung!" I shouted and they all looked at me.

"What are you doing here?!" Mr. Park asked.

"Let her speak!" Jisung said and Mr. Park went silent.

"The throne, the invaders are still alive." I said and he nodded.

"Spread out! They could already be here." Jisung said and everyone nodded.

"Chaeyeon, come with me to check on the king." he said and I nodded.

We rode to the throne room and saw no one there.

"Just a little bit late." the shapeshifting witch said.

"Chaeyeon, you should've come with us." she added.

"But, if you two are curious about where the king and his family is, let me take you there." she said and used her magic to bring us to a structure with lava at the bottom. At the top, we saw the king and his family being held in a box which was only staying there because of a tiny rope.

"Good luck!" she said and flew to the top to stand with Alastor.

We started making our way up the structure as fast as we could, but kept on getting interrupted by invaders.

Eventually, I found an easier way up. I hopped onto a wooden log that is staring straight up. I started climbing up and eventually got to the top.

Alastor was a bit shocked and said, "Huh, I guess I underestimated you."

I started fighting him and it was hard.

There was no railing here so I had to play a balance game while fighting him.

I was able to knock out his sword into the lava and he got extremely mad. While he was mad, I took the chance to knock him down and push him into the lava, too.

I looked at the shapeshifting witch and said, "He was going to throw you out of here once he got the throne. So go and I will make sure you are not going to be taken for granted."

She looked at me with thankful eyes and left.

I immediately got the king and his family out of the box and brought them down with the help of Jisung. All the invaders left the structure after Alastor fell into the lava and tried following the shapeshifting witch, but I saw them get taken into custody by the guards.

Jisung and I took the throne room and all of the others from the camp came there, too. We all bowed as they sat on their thrones.

""Who is this young lady?" the king asked, pointing to me.

"That is Ms. Lee Chaeyeon, she disobeyed our rules so we left her on the mountain, but she somehow got here. She should be taken into custody." Mr. Park said.

"Well, she should, but those rules are stupid." the king said and Mr. Park looked shocked.

"B-but sir, those rules are hundreds of years old." Mr. Park said.

"Exactly, we should renew them. I mean she saved me, my family, and all of our Empire." the king said and I smiled.

"I would also like to honor her, as well as the late General Han, today." the king added and his assistant nodded.

"Now, can I speak to Ms. Lee, alone with my family." the king asked and everyone left.

"Chaeyeon, we would just like to say," they all got on their knees and bowed, "thank you so much."

I bowed back and said, "Of course."

"We would also like to offer you a higher position in the military. We want to have more girls like you help participate and I think it would be amazing if you were to lead them." the queen said.

"Oh my, well, of course, I would love to." I said smiling.
