SPECIAL CHAPTER
TOMMY AND OPAL
(Little note, this relationship is strictly platonic and they are minors so please don't comment anything weird 😃)

Opal sat on her bed watching Tommy's stream, waiting for him to finish his outro. Once she heard him say his goodbyes she got a facetime call almost immediately. She sat up from hanging off her bed and answered the call.

"Ello missus!" Tommy beamed, British accent harsher than normal.

She giggled at the nickname, "Hi Tommy! I was just watching your stream, good job on the lore!"

He bowed while laughing, he thanked her then plopped down on his bed with his dog Walter. Walter did a playful sneeze to communicate with Tommy. He petted the top of the dog's head while Opal talked about how cute Walter was. 

"That reminds me, I sent you something! It should be arriving today," he clapped his free hand on his thigh, "You might want to check your mail!"

She quipped, "Should I be concerned that you know my address?"

He cackled at her joke but kept pushing her to check her mail. Opal got up and went to her front door. She slid on her clogs and then trailed outside towards the beat-up mailbox. The mailbox had gotten knocked over by some teenagers driving around the neighborhood hitting them with a baseball bat, aka "mailboxing".

Opal opened the metal flap and found a small cardboard box with her name on it. She informed Tommy it was there and he got excited. 

"Go open it! Go open it!" he rushed her.

Opal rolled her eyes playfully and then jogged inside to the dinner table. She propped her phone up so he could see the process. She went into the kitchen and grabbed a knife. She came in hold up the knife with a cynical smile. Tommy screenshotted it and her expression changed quickly to a straight face and her hands going back down to her side. Tommy held back a laugh and looked up acting as if he didn't do anything. They both broke out into giggles. 

Opal went to the brown box and slid the blade on the packaging tape. It freed the side on which it opened on. She lifted the tab and it revealed something bubble-wrapped. A grin tugged on the corners of Tommy's mouth, he knew what it was and got super happy. She moved the bubble wrap and it revealed a sapphire bracelet and a sodalite ring. Her eyes lit up and a childlike excitement engulfed her. 

"WHAT THE HELL! TOMMY IT'S BEAUTIFUL!" Opal squealed.

He blushed, "Well I know how much you like blue! The ring is Sodalite and the bracelet is Sapphire. I went down a rabbit hole and learned some things about them! Sodalite is the logic, intelligence, and truth gem. Blue sapphire is the gem of luck, wisdom, and optimism! I don't know if that really means anything but I thought if it did it describes you perfectly!"

Opal couldn't control her smile at this point. She thanked him and continued to struggle to put the bracelet on. Soon she got it and slid the ring on her middle finger beside the other rings she had.

"And to match you, I got a bracelet and ring. It's ruby and garnet," he lifted his hand up to show it off, "Rubys mean passion, motivation, and confidence, and garnets mean love, success, and peace. I hope those describe me but if not they are still pretty."

"Wow! Tommy that is amazing! Thank you so much, this is so cool!" Opal cheered while messing with the ring.

Tommy had a big genuine smile on his face. He didn't spend money on many things but he did this time for her. To make her happy was all he could ask for. 

Opal's mom, Eden, came into the dining room to see what she was so loud about. When she saw Tommy she immediately smiled. She looked over to Opal and saw the stunning ring.

"Oh my gosh! Tommy did you get her this?!" 

He nodded and held his arm up to show his accessories too. 

Eden scoffed, "Wheres mine!"

They all bursted out laughing. 

Tommy asked, "Mrs. Fox, I can get you one if you want! What's your favorite color?" 

"No, no!" she refused, "I was just kidding! Keep your money kid."

"I AM NOT A KID!" Tommy continued his incoherent British blabbing.

Eden laughed and exited the room to the kitchen. Opal could now smell the food that had wafted into the dining room. It smelled like green bean casserole and tilapia. (if you actually know how to cook green bean casserole, it is bussin😫)

"Wanna play some Minecraft with me?" Tommy proposed.

Opal agreed and she left to go to her room, down the hall.
