The Truth Hurts

When lessons were over I went back to the common room with Lily, to work on the homework we had gotten. I had a potions essay and Lily had both Divinations and potions. We dropped our bags by a table and got to work. After about fifteen minutes the marauders came running in breathing heavily.

"What did you guys do this time?" I ask

"Nothing why would we have done anything?" James asked.

"We put pink hair dye in the showers by the Slytherins dormitory." Sirius laughed.

"Sirius! They were supposed to be surprised by it tomorrow morning!" James exclaimed smirking toward Lily. I just rolled my eyes and finished my essay. I put the final sentence on and through my quill onto the table.

"Finished?" Sirius laughs at me.

"Yes! Finally it took me forever." I say dramatically.

"Oh Cs it took you like 20 minuets max." Lily gives me a look.

"Still!" I say.

"Hey Cs will you help me with my essay? I was planning on heading to the library." Sirius asks with a smirk. Oh I know where this is heading.

"Sure. I like potions glad to help." I smile as we exit the common room. I start toward the library.

"Beautiful? Where are you going?"

"The library like you said?" I say with a touch of my innocent ways coming back.

"I just wanted to get you alone. You thought I actually wanted to do homework?" He laughs.

"No I just wanted for you to say it" I smirk.

"Okay so ROR we can snog a bit and decide how and when we are going to tell everyone?"

"Sounds good to me boyfriend!" I say bouncing a little bit. He grabs my hand and leads me to the room of requirement.

When we get their we head into a room that has a love seat opposite a fire place with two cups of tea on the coffee table in front.

"Oh it peppermint tea! My favorite!" I smile giggling.

"Of course anything for you" Sirius says in a very cheesy voice.

"So what do you want to do?" I pipe up after a long silence. Not an uncomfortable one just a long one.

"I think we should just tell them. I mean theirs not point in not telling them. Right?" He asks with a slight tip of his head like a dog that doesn't understand something.

"Sure but how just walk into the common room holding hands? Or do we need to say anything? I don't know how to do this! James is going to freak!" I say freaking out myself.

"Love, it's all going to work out. When things are meant to be they will be." Sirius says lightly kissing me, to which I respond by pulling his face back to mine ending in a very heated snogging session.

As we finally pull away I sit up fixing my hair and trying to straighten out my dress. Sirius was fixing his hair as well and straightening he shirt out.

He kisses me on more time before saying "are you ready for this?"

"I guess." I smile weakly at him. He grabs my hand and gives it a reassuring squeeze.

"Let's go" Sirius pulls me up from the love seat and pulls me all the way back to the common room hands still intertwined.

As we walk in I hear a few shocked gasps from Alice, Remus and Peter. I get a knowing smile from Lily and see and incredibly angry Marlene walking towards me.

"How could you do this to me! You foul bitch! Don't be a bloody arse! You can't do this to me! I liked him first." She yelled at me from across the common room.

"He liked me first." I smirk across at her.

"Don't be mean" Lily growls from beside me.

"Excuse me! I wanted him first your betraying best friend code!" She screeches.

"Okay I'm sorry? Is that what you want? Because I'm not going to break up with him! So it that's what you want just stop talking to me" I say.

"Okay bye but your going to regret that. You know who isn't here? Your dear brother Jamesie and I'm going to go tell him!" She says laughing maniacally on the way out.

"Whatever." I say walking over to our group of friends. "So who's up of a game of truth or dare in the boys dormitory?" I ask.

"Sure" I hear from most while Alice looks at me like in crazy.

"What Alice? I'm almost sane if you were wondering." I say matter of factly.

"Okay yeah let's just go play." She says still looking at me funny.

We all walk upstairs. Lily ends up sitting on James' bed. Which we all found funny but she didn't get because their was no way we were going to tell her. I sat with Sirius on his bed, and Alice sat with Frank on Peters bed and Remus was in his own bed. Peter decided he didn't want to play. I think he thought nobody would pick him.

Many truths and dares were done. Lily had to tell the group if she had ever had a romantic dream about James, yes she had. Alice had to tell us what she like most about Frank- his eyes, cliché if you ask me. Sirius had to give me a hicky and I had to give him in in return. Remus had to say who he thought was the most attractive person at Hogwarts,- Marlene apparently. Lastly Frank had to kiss Alice for fifteen seconds in front if everyone- so scandalous. It was all in good fun, it was around nine thirty and James still wasn't back we were all starting to go to bed when I asked Lily to see if Marlene would kill me in my sleep, she would.

"Sirius would you mind if I spent the night with you? I really would not like to get killed in my sleep." I asked sounding more flirtatious than I meant to.

"Sure beautiful." He said with a smirk. "I wouldn't want anything to happen to you."

Lily brought me a sweatshirt and some pajama shorts, and my slipper boots. I left my hair the same way I wore it to school and quickly washed my face and brushed my teeth with the stuff Lily brought me. Once I was done I curled into Sirius' side and fell into one of the best nights sleeps,I've ever had.

I woke up to see James standing to the side of my bed. Wait James couldn't get up to my dorm room. Oh no! I rembered where I was and why. This wasn't going to be good.
