Off Limits (Sirius Black)

Pretending is easy being honest is hard

Last night after I ruined my perfect idea of how this year was going to go I went back to my room and went to sleep. I missed dinner I wasn't hungry anyway. I don't know if it was the mozzarella sticks or the sadness but I just wasn't hungry. Lily came up after dinner and said James was looking for me I told her I would talk to him tomorrow.

Now that I was dressed in something that abides by, well almost abides by, the uniform regulation, I was headed downstairs to face the wrath of my big brother.

I walked down the stairs to see him siting on one of the couches. I slowly walk over to him as I sit down next to him he starts talking.

"Cs I'm sorry I know I said I just wasn't going to care anymore but I just can't." he sighed. "I love you too much I just don't want to see you get hurt by anything. I'm sorry."

"Aww Jamsie! I love you too! But you have to know that I can take care of myself sometimes." I say.

"I know you can" He told me while giving me a hug. "lets go down to breakfast."

"Okay." I say as he starts to drag me out the portrait hole.

As we were almost to the great hall I noticed that James still looked really upset. "James what's wrong you look really upset?" I ask.

"Oh it's nothing really Lily was supposed to meet me in the Library yesterday and she never came." he said sadly adding a frown to emphasize his sadness.

"Aww I'm sorry! Why were you going to the library with Lily though?" I ask.

"Uh... that's not important."

"Yes it is! Did she finally agree to go on a date with you? The library seems like a crap date but you do you." I say excitedly.

"No it wasn't a date it was... err... Well... to discuss somethings that had to do with things and such."

"So it was you both agreeing that I wasn't telling the truth so you were going to meet up and try to pry into my life?" I ask slightly amused and slightly angry.

"Well yes but we had your best interest wait how did you know that!"

"Lily told me because she said she felt bad for missing when you were supposed to meet and I might of kinda forced her to tell me?" I say sweetly.

"Of course"

As we walk into the Great hall and head over the the Gryffindor table I see Lily sitting with Alice, no sign of Marleane and Remus, and Peter siting slightly away from them along with Sirius sucking face with some girl.

I felt like someone had punched me in the gut. Maybe I had been just another girl to go on a date with and nothing more. As we got closer I realized the girl was Marleane. Great not she will be talking about him not stop in our room.

"Uhh James in not hungry I'm just going to head to Charms. See you later" I said giving him a swift hug and exiting the hall as quickly as possible.

JAMES' POV

Well that was strange. I walk over to Moony, wormtail and padfoot while Padfoot is sucking face with a new girl. I think it's Lily's friend Marleane but I'm not positive.

"Hey guys. What do you have first today?"

"Potions with Slytherins" Moony sighs.

"Same" Peter squeaks.

"I'll be in there with you guys. Hey padfoot stop sucking face and tell us what you have first today!" I exclaim.

He turns Marleane around on his lap and says "uhh Charms I think I need to check my schedule" He pulls a crumpled piece of paper out of his pocket "Yeah charms. Marleane what do you have?" He asks looking at the girl on his lap.

"I'm in potions" She says with a pout. "I better go wouldn't want to be late. Bye Baby" She says as she leans in peaking his lips.

"When did that happen?" I ask.

"This morning" he says nonchalantly.

"Ahh I see lets go to class now guys she's right we don't want to be late." We moony wormtail and I walk towards the dungeons while Padfoot walks towards the charms corridors.

CECES POV
I got to class twenty minutes early and sit down at a desk in the middle towards the back of the class. I pull out my book and begin to read about fifteen minutes later I hear His voice next to me "Hey Beautiful mind if I sit here? He said more that asked. He then smirked leaned in and whispered in my ear "I know you don't"

I clench my teeth "actually I do"

"Come on beautiful, I know you want me to sit here" That hot as anything smirk still resting on his gorgeous face.

"Lily is going to sit there"

"I looks like she's siting with Alice"

"Ugh fine but don't talk to me."

"Beautiful,whats wrong? Are you, Are you Jealous?" He asks his voice full of disbelief and his smirk even more prominent on his face.

I scoff "of course not why would I be jealous of someone sucking face with an idiot like you." Hurt flashes through his eyes.

"Haha your jealous" he whispers in my ear. I can almost hear the smirk in his voice.

"Shut up, idiot."

"You shouldn't be jealous, you broke it off."

"Lily was going to tell James." I say simply.

"So what we would of had to tell him at some point or he would have figured it out for himself."

"Okay class today we will be taking notes on the charms we will be learning this year we will start the actual practice of the charms next week."

A note is pushed on top of my book as I pull a piece of paper out of my bag.

Meet me by the lake at midnight and I'll break it off with Marleane
