I sat against the wall just rubbing my drawing with my finger tips on my small baby bump. Then someone began banging on the door. "Cater come on open up." Dad. I get up and unlock the door. "What?" I ask. "Carter don't act like you don't know what. I know that was you in the cafeteria earlier." He states. "W-w-what are y-you talking about?" "Your stuttering you lying." "Okay okay I saw you." I said looking at my toes. "You saw everything?" "Everything." "Carter, maybe this is good you and Alice can finally meet each other." "Alice?" "The woman you saw earlier." "Oh... Yeah." I say unenthusiastically. "Good I'll go tell her and we can have dinner tonight." he walks off. "Yeah dinner tonight." I say mockingly.

It's time for me to meet this woman or Alice and I really don't want to... I see her walking up and she tall and skinny with wavy dark brown hair. Dad stands up and hugs and kisses her. Don't throw up, don't throw up. She sits down. "So you must be Carter." she says sticker out her hand. "And you must be Alice." I say taking and shaking it. "I heard you were having a baby, and your keeping it. Your only sixteen that's crazy." "You just got her and your already talking to me about my life choices." I say "Carter." Dad warns. "Sorry." I mutter. Fir the next 20 minutes I sat there not talking while it's not like anyone here cares. "I think I'll go back to the apartment." I whisper to dad. I get up to throw my stuff away. "Cater wait." he says. "No you guys just keep talking or whatever I'm leaving." I walk up to the apartment no more than 10 minutes later dad follows. "Carter talk. What's wrong?" "Nothing's wrong. You guys were talking and it didn't matter if I was there or not." I told him. "Carter that's not true." "Yes, it was. I just sat there. I've done a little thinking. I think me and Kayden are going to move in to my own apartment." He stares at me with wide eyes. "Kayden?! Who the hell is Kayden?!" He yells. I didn't tell him. "I went to my appointment today. And found out I'm having a boy and I'm naming him Kayden." his face softens. "Cater that's great." he says we both sit on the couch. "I thought you would want Alice living here. I mean your still pretty young you can get married and maybe even give me a brother or sister..." He laughs. "I rather have you just living here. I don't even know if me and Alice will last. Your staying here. That baby's staying here. And you could live here for as long as you want. It's always just been me and you and now it's gonna be me you and the baby. But that's okay. We got this." he says. "Dad, that was the cheesiest thing I've ever heard. But that's fine. Were like a team." he chuckles. "Yup, a team."
