Mandy:

I spun around in my chair tapping a wooden pencil to my lips as I replayed what had happened an hour ago.  It's been an hour, damn... And I still haven't filled Mr. Greenwood's draft on his third chapter. I stop spinning and pulled myself closer to my desk so I can began to read his draft.

"Heeey Andy-" I glance up to see Rachel picking her head just barely visible at the top of my cubicle.

"Yes?" I ask after an awkward second of silence.

"Aren't you off on Monday's?"

What is it to you? I wanted to ask but ended up saying. "Oh, yeah I just wanted to finish up some drafts before tomorrow."

"Oooh..." She then disappeared back into her own little world.

I stared a bit disturbed but then shrugged it off. I turn back to my computer to see a pop up on the side notifying me I had received an email. I raising a brow I opened it to see it was from Mr. Handsome. I sigh in frustration and began to read. He won't give me a break; will he?

Ms. Patterson:

My offer was not to offend but to convince. Yet I should have known there's other ways of asking, and for that I apologize. All I'm able to say on behalf on why I lied of having a partner to my family is that I honestly haven't shared any time with them and to start doing it once more is a nuisance to me. Also the only reason why I had asked you is to help you: I have seen your work and its good, perhaps too good to just be a basic editor.

At the end of the day its your choice dear Ms. Patterson. But you do have until of the day to notify me of your choice.

Have a good day

Mr. Whitlock

I don't know what annoyed me more, the fact that he put in bold some words or that he thinks I refused him because of the way he asked me. I shut down everything then made my way to Mr. Pain in my ass office.

Mr. Whitlock secretary eyed me down as I marched closer to the office. She placed the phone down then stood. "He's in a very important call Ms. Patterson."

I tapped my feet as I thought on what to say. I bit my lip as she sat back down. I don't know what possessed me to make a run for his door. I busted the door open to be taken at back to see a beautiful lady staring back at me as Mr. Whitlock glared. The lady smirked then looked towards Mr. Withlock.

"Guess our meeting is over." She stood up; she wore a very tight black pencil skirt with a long red sleeve shirt and heels to die for.

Once she was next to me she stopped then leaned in so I could hear her. "I'd say, next time at least knock." She was then gone.

I couldn't move, I could only stare at pissed off Mr. Whitlock who still hasn't moved from where he stood. I felt like a little girl who awaiting to be screamed at.He calmly raised his palm as a gesture for me to take a seat... I did so.

He sat down too but his bright brown eyes frowned angrily at me. "I'm sorry." I mummer.

He said nothing just looked at me. I bit my lips as I started to think here goes my job; I can't get fired. I have to think of something-

"May I ask something?" He finally spoke.

I nodded.

"I've been trying to wrap my head around on why you disrespectfully busted into my office, and caused a very important person to leave?" His voice was calm.

"I had read your email-"

"I didn't ask that Mandy."My eyes widen a bit as he called me by my name instead of the usual Ms.

"Was she a back up?" I whispered bowing my head a bit I could no longer face him, I felt ashamed and more so I don't know why I even cared if she's a back up. He's nothing of mine and is allowed to have girls in his life.

"Back up?"He ask.

"In case I said no."

"Well, no... She's actually Lidia Wolf the daughter of the head of Wolf and Company who my family is trying to buy into. I honestly don't see why I should explain myself to a simple editor about who I have in my office." He says harshly.

I look up at him taking in his voice and realizing he's right.I could see he noticed that what he has said struck a nerve now his facial expression soften a bit. I forced a smile and stood up. "You're right I shouldn't have done what I did." I turn around to head towards the door.

"Mandy." He calls out to me. "You don't have to go-"

"It's okay, I actually finished everything I had to do for the day.I'm heading home." I flash a last smile at him; he had stood up.

Before I could reach the door he had gotten a hold of my wrist making stop dead on my tracks and face him with surprise. "What-"

"You came in here for a reason." He says still with a hold of my wrist.

"It's nothing." I snapped then pulled my hand away. "Don't worry it won't happen again."

"At least tell me yes or no." He demanded.

I actually chuckled a bit. "You still want me to go?"

He nods.

"I will go only in one condition." I say.

"And that will be?"

"You forget what I just did... Plus don't ever send me words in bold. like, ever."

"Deal."
