Seth:

I tighten my grip around the cool metallic pen while Xavier soliloquized around my office. I cannot believe I allowed him to come in here and parade his mouth in how much he should have gotten the position of president of this tower: to be honest, I find him to be a good fit for this position yet they gave it to me. Why?

“Are you listening?” Xavier’s almond shape blue eyes stare me down.

“I am, besides what were you quarreling about?” I ask smiling just to intimidate him.

Xavier Whitlock is my twenty six year old brother: and the oldest of us three. Xavier is known to be the brain of the Whitlock children also known to be the most churlish one.  Xavier has our mother eyes a jaw line of a fragile boy model and also black brown hair. Also is as tall as me 6”3: yes in our bloodline the male mostly tends to grow till their 6 feet or so.

“Why did father pick you?” His words were harsh but in his eyes I could see he meant no harm by it. “I mean, you’re smart Seth… you are… but being in charge of doing the contracts for this company is way out of your league.”

I sigh, “Xavier… You have the vice president position… You aren’t too useless.” I lock my eyes with his as I spoke. “Maybe father decided it was time to see if I am capable of carrying such responsibilities. Or so I say myself I find it quite interesting he picked Orlando’s Tower to position both of us while he sent Silas to New York.” Both Xavier and I glared at other directions after I finished speaking.

“Silas is father’s favorite.” Xavier admits coldly.

I scoff. “Has nothing to do with our job.” I pictured my younger brother smiling and my father right behind him: the thought made me sick.

“I agree to that analogy of yours Seth but I still think you’re too nonchalant of a character to handle these sorts of things.” Xavier continued and I was at my peek.

“Shut up, anyways I am nonchalant and look where it has gotten me.” He flips me off with his middle finger and sits down on my visitor chair.

“Changing the subject how are you and Hazel?” I side glance at him then returned my attention to the document I was filling out.

After a minute of silence I spoke, “We broke up.” I flatly said without meeting his eyes I knew he was surprise.

“Really?” He tasks, “I thought she was really getting to you.”

“She was, but she and I were two different people.” I lied.

Actually she and I were very alike; I guess that’s why it didn’t work out between us.  If you place a stubborn guy that gets what he wants and knows how to get it with a girl version of him: It gets boring after a while.

“That truly sucks, speaking of which tonight’s gala you can search for your next prey.” He chuckles.

“I think I don’t want a relationship right now Xavier, you should look into one if you like.” I laugh when I saw him glare but I quickly turned my attention back to the document.

Then just like every day since that day I replay that event that happened the other day: her beautiful brown eyes, her dark hair, her fragile narrow face, her pink lips, her lovely body also her very large boobs; they can’t be anymore than just D’s: I thought to myself.

 Who is she?

“Xavier.”

“Yes?”

“Can you do me a favor?”

“Depends,” His voice sounded wondrous.

I looked into his eyes and smile. “I need a list of the entire Female editors in this tower.”

“Eh… Okay…. Why?” He asks his eyes never leaving me.

“I want to see if any of them want to be promoted into being my secretary.” I lied.

He nods and gets up from his chair. “I’m on it.”

Once I was alone in my office I put down the pen and stared into nothing knowing I was spacing out yet still holding my ground in knowing what’s going on around me I pictured her glaring eyes…. I’ll find you. I know I will.
