Mandy:
After the three minute of somewhat of a speech Mr. Handsome had given he made his way down the stage, once he was out of view the band began to play what I think is called "mistletoe" or something of the sort.
I began to wonder whether it was worth leaving now since I did get to say my hello's, but something made my mind wonder what if I stay a bit more... Nah I'm leaving. I make my way towards the exit door passing through the crowd of coworkers and their families I began to feel a bit... I don't know... Lonely I guess.
Everyone came with someone, though I arrived with Isabel and Michael... Yes that's true, but in this very moment I'm walking alone. So technically I did come alone to a gala. Since I'm off tomorrow I can sleep in and go shopping have some relaxing me time.
"Mandy?" I look up to see Mr. Handsome light brown eyes scanning my face as if he's looking for something. "Isn't it?"
I chuckle, "Didn't we establish that earlier Mr. Whitlock?" It sounded weird when I mentioned his name.
"Well, can't be too careful to make sure I had your name right." He retorts trying to look cool while people around us began to stare. Mostly the females, I don't blame them: he is good looking.
"See something you like?" He asks referring to himself as his eyes glitter with excitement.
Was I just staring at him and didn't notice?
"Just noticed that whomever tied your bow tie didn't do it quite right..." Nice safe, he quickly glances down then back up at me. By the way his eyes glared somewhere else and he bit on his lip, I'd say he was embarrassed.
After a awkward silence I decided to change the subject. "Sooo... Nice gala huh?" His attitude changed completely in matter of seconds and he was his nonchalant self; I guess he'll always be too cool for his own ego: I quietly thought to myself.
"I do think it's a beautiful gala Miss-"
"Call me Andy," I interrupted.
He chuckles, "Andy." My insides went warm then back cool as if my body had a reaction to his voice and how he said my name.
"By the way, I was meaning to ask have you thought about my request?" So formal to just be asking about some stupid dance, don't ya think?
"I have but first I need a glass of champagne," He smirks at me as I spoke making feel a little uncomfortable. "Maybe wine too..."
I hadn't realized I had drunk three glasses of wine, and one of champagne, and to top it all off Mr. Handsome stood by me the entire time just looking down at me or at me with a small ghost smile: which was why I decided to drink a little more than I could handle. I could see in his eyes a bit of worry but he coolly cover it with a smile every time I'd look. I was starting to regret even drinking when I became unaware of how loud I was speaking drawing attention to myself.
Not only mentally was I doing things I'd never do in a regular bases such as; dance to Latin music and act like I know the steps, talk very loud that everyone would be looking at me and worse of all I was always looking into Mr. Handsome's eyes and grinning a stupid wide grin as if I was teenage girl in prom and saw the popular guy dressed all nice and yummy....Don't think of Mr. Handsome like that! Why not? Nice now I'm arguing with myself.
"Andy...I think," Mr. Handsome gently grabbed my arm and lead me to the empty tables away from the staring crowd. "You should take some water." He smiles as he hands me a small Fiji bottle and opens the cap before handling it to me.
I took a refreshing sip of cool liquid which made the bitter taste of wine less distasteful. "Thanks." I was beginning to become dizzy.
"Having fun, also has it's cons. "He sounded superior yet understanding.
I sigh getting tired of him to be honest, one minute he's flirting the next he's an ass then her other he's being responsible. Dude pick one!
"I should go home," I stood up but stumbled on my own two feet almost falling but he was too fast and already a my side to help me stay steady. "Thanks." My mood was beginning to change: I was starting to feel sad, because this is the companies manager son and C.E.O and I was being too immature and jejune that a women of my profession should never do, and that is never get drunk in your company's Christmas Gala.. Just thinking of it made tears bottle up in my eyes.
"Are you-" Mr. Handsome's smile faded and was replaced with a concerned frown. "Why are you crying?"
"Because I suck, I got drunk in a special event for work... That's sooo Unprofessional." Tears began to flow out of my eyes leaving cool traces against my warm cheeks.
"Come one." He held my hand and we darted towards the main exit which was behind us. But going this way was going in front where valet is.
"I didn't park this way." I began but was soon cut off by another man dressed all in black tall, and fair. He had light green eyes, I think. Also he looked about thirty four or thirty five. Probably he is, but he wasn't a bad looking guy if you ask me... But don't ask me at the moment everything around me is spinning.
"Mandy may I have you car key's?" Mr. Handsome asks quietly so only he and I could hear.
"Why?" I whispered followed by a little girlish giggle.
"So Alexander could take it home, you're not driving... You can barely stand on your own two feet."
"Not true!" I protested with a chuckle.
He raises his eyebrow then nods with disbelief. "Alright, fine. Walk." He lets go of me and I stood wobbling a bit forward then backwards but smiled with confidence as I did. Even though I knew he was right I couldn't even stop grinning like an idiot.
"See?" I laugh, took a step forward then another suddenly in a blink of an eye my stomach went in a knot making me feel sick, then a burning sensation enveloped my throat making me cough then place the back of my palm over my mouth. I knew what this meant. No, no, no... I am not throwing up in front of all these people.
Mr. Handsome was once more by my side this time holding my up straight, then I couldn't help it no more, I bent over and began to throw-up. He held my hair out of my face, and slowly moved his hand side to side on my back. Now this is too embarrassing.
"There, there." Was all I could hear beside my cough and the blood rushing through my ears. I had my hands on my knees supporting me as I was bent, but for some odd reason when I stood up straight my arms felt very heavy then my legs.
"You're going to be okay." Mr. Handsome reassured me as he grabs my purse and fishes out my car keys. He whispered something to the guy he had called Alexander, and with no other words Alexander disappeared out of my view. I was too sick to even talk, little more to even ask why the hell he had given my keys to a stranger.
My eyelids were also beginning to become heavy but all I could feel was Mr. Hansome's arms around me holding so I couldn't fall. By the time I had completely blanked out I had already been placed in a leather seated car with the air conditioner at full blast. Then I couldn't no more, I had to close my eyes.
