“Huh?” A familiar voice called behind him. “I don’t know if I find you here.”

Before he could turn around, a hand patted his shoulder. Turning his head to his side, Nathan was met with a veteran Hunter. “Gascoigne?” He asked in disbelief.

Gascoigne ordered a drink to bartender. The bartender nodded and filled a glass before serving it to Gascoigne, he then leave them alone in the bar. “Aye.” Gascoigne replied, taking a sip from his drink. “You damn bastard leave me crying in front of two women.”

“Ah!” Nathan realized. “My apologies.”

Gascoigne laughed a little, patting his back for several times. “That doesn’t matter anymore, anyways I heard you become a legend in Mistral and on several villages on Vale, mind telling me about them?”

Nathan sipped his tea. “I only doing my job as a Hunter and that rumors about me… I simply don’t care about it.” He pointed out. “What about you?”

“I am not a Hunter anymore, Nathaniel, that day is long gone. Now, I become a merchant.” Gascoigne said.
Nathan nodded. There was a silence between them. They allowed the silence between them, enjoying every single second of it, Nathan sipped his tea while Gascoigne slurped his drink. Here, two old friends enjoying their times together in a bar.

“How you still alive?” Nathan asked, surprising Gascoigne with his sudden question. “We are alone in here, there is no one around here” Nathan added.

For a moment, Gascoigne was silent. “After you killed me.” He spoke up. “There was darkness, then came light that blinding my eyes. And suddenly,” Gascoigne spread his arms, gesturing around the room. “Here I am, on Remnant.” He took a sip from his drink.

The Hunter sighed, sipping his tea. “I still remembered how the first time we met in bridge.”

Gascoigne smiled and chuckled. “Aye, I still remembered how your scared face when we faced those beasts on the bridge.”

A small smile written on Nathan’s lips as he remembered that. “Indeed, I was still a…cub that moment. Now, here we are, two survivors of Yharnam on Remnant. On the world different than ours.”

“Aye, this world are different than ours, Hunter, more peaceful in here. Though there are Grimm that wander around. I also started a new family.”

The Hunter raised an eyebrow. “You have new family?”

“Aye.” Gascoigne nodded. “It surprised me how my new wife look similar like Viola.” He frowned when he said that. “I also have kid. A son.”

“Congratulations then.” Nathan said neutrally. Even with his emotionless face and neutral tone, Gascoigne could tell he is also happy for him.

The veteran Hunter chuckled. “What about you? Are there any girl that caught your eyes?”

The Hunter went silent for a moment. “There was a girl.” He told him. “Her name is Eva, a…Yharnamite.” He lied on the last part.
