Maybe it's because they have that enemies to lovers vibe. But it's more like rivals to friends to lovers. They were on different teams and played against each other, and then were on the MSBY Black Jackals together and somehow have to put up with each other. Sounds like rivals to lovers to me.
Anyways, I FUCKING LOVE 'EM SO MUCH!!
